Mi Buen Refugio

Ayelen is very nice and helpful. She had good tips about visiting both sides of the falls. Our kids really liked the pool which is a must when it's so hot outside.

It's 15-20 minutes by foot from the center. A taxi costs 200 peso.

Ayelen the owner doesn’t speak much English but she is so very sweet and tries so hard. She gave us a warm welcome, gave us a map of the area and recommended activities and a local taxi firm for our stay in Iguazu. She brings pastries and bread for breakfast. She also used Google translate on her phone to explain everything to us and made herself available on WhatsApp to help us any time. A real angel. The property is superb value with a kitchen, shower room, double bedroom, a twin room and one extra bed by the entrance. There is pool access and somewhere to hang out your clothes outside (handy if you get wet at the falls.) The property is about a 10 minute drive (30 minute walk) to town, about a 30 minute drive to the falls and 40 minutes to the airport on the Argentina side.

Next door had loud music blaring from 02:30-06:30 the second night of our stay. When I mentioned this to Ayelen however she was apologetic and said she had made a complaint, and you can’t ask much more than that.

Very clean cabañas, super comfy beds! Nice pool and outside area with grill and volleyball net ! Very calm at night (be aware that you either walk 30min into town or need a taxi (100pesos) to get to the center) . Ayelen the owner was very friendly and we used her taxi service a few times !

Due to the immense heat we had , it was quite stressful to eat and cook in the main room in the cabaña without A/C. Very simple breakfast
