We loved our stay here so much that we rebooked for our final few nights in Costa Rica. The room was lovely and spacious, with air conditioning and a fridge (so nice to have!), and the bathroom was clean and generously sized. There was also a charming little outdoor space for relaxing, which created a sociable atmosphere as you could easily chat with your neighbours. The grounds are gorgeous, with a beautiful pool and a great chill-out area. We also really appreciated how relaxed the staff were – and that we were allowed to smoke, which most places here don’t permit. It’s close to the beach hub and the beach itself, and there’s a lovely coffee shop right at the entrance. We absolutely loved it!

Beautiful shared space, pool table, big sofas etc. and our room had AC which is definitely needed here.

The kitchen was awful, didn’t read the reviews before booking but it was unhygienic and did not enjoy cooking in there at all, the location is pretty expensive so tried anyway. Also, there’s a lot of workers or long-term residents who aren’t the most welcoming (cliquey) which made the vibe of the hostel a bit off. Good location to the beach and some cafes but it’s very out the way of the town in general.
