Handy touring hotel.

This is a property that has seen better days but since my booking was made 25 minutes before I arrived it was perfect. The check in was easy and the staff very helpful. The room was clean and tidy. There was a en-suite bathroom with a good shower. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the village. The restaurant area was clean and tidy and had amble seating both inside and out. The food in the restaurant was very good and there were plenty of local customers. Breakfast in the morning was just as good and there was a good selection to choose from. The was also covered parking for motorcycles.

The single bed was very creaky but comfortable enough. However the walls are thin and I was woken by the noise of the shower in the next room.

Exceptional value, incredible food and warm welcome.

The welcome was warm and the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. Dinner was EXCEPTIONAL. The best meal I've eaten in Germany probably ever and such brilliant value. Worth travelling to this place just to eat. I would stay here again without doubt if ever I'm in the area. The hotel is also a short walk from Blankenheim which is a charming town.

As other reviews have stated the hotel is a little 'tired', but it's clean and welcoming so if you don't mind it being a little old you'll have a great stay.

Perfect stay in the Eifel mountains

The hosts were fantastic,incredibly helpful The room was clean and comfortable They even let me store my motorbike in their garage for 2 nights during my stay Continental buffet breakfast was nice and I had a meal in the on-site restaurant was was great Also a very scenic 30min drive from the Nurburgring Danke Schon!!!!!!! to everyone at the Hotel Finkenberg English Biker

Brilliant stay Thank you

This was a brilliant place to stay for a few days. The food was excellent, and the breakfast too. My motorbike was under cover, which shouldn't have been a surprise as this is a motorcycle friendly hotel. I had a great time talking in my tourist German. I felt really relaxed here. I would stay here again at the drop of a hat.

If you can find something to moan about here, then do yourself a favour and stay at home.

Lovely comfortable and great value for money

Wonderful welcome from staff. Clean and warm room and in a lovely quiet location. Dinner in the restaurant was tasty and fresh. Breakfast was simple but offered everything required.

The rooms are not very soundproof, so could hear other guests talking early in the morning but this was not a problem as everything else was wonderful.

Magnificent stop along the Eifelsteig !

The essential element for us is the quality of the welcome and here it was perfect. The hotel is 400m from the village ( which is worth a visit ), a short and pretty walk, almost flat. The parking is large and free while in the village it is paying !!! The hotel cuisine is excellent, far superior to the quality seen elsewhere in Eifel. Everything is clean and as described, we slept really well and the breakfast was great. Special mention for the excellent coffee and for the lady owner, very pleasant ... and multilingual !

Wir waren auf Fahrrad unterwegs und konnten unsere Räder sicher unterstellen für die Nacht.

Wir haben dort auch Abends gegessen, das war wirklich prima, daran gab es absolut nichts auszusetzen. Am nächsten Morgen gefrühstückt, wunderbar! Das Personal, bzw. evtl. waren es auch die Eigentümer, das wissen wir nicht genau, waren sehr freundlich zu uns. .

Man kann dort übernachten für eine Nacht, aber das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt einfach nicht. Es ist zu teuer dafür. Die Fotos müssen 10 Jahre alt gewesen sein.

De douche was oké Broodjes bij het ontbijt waren warm. Lekker!

Er hing een penetrante lucht, het bed was knoerthard en het kussen dun. Het kussen en dekbed stonken naar chemische schoonmaakmiddelen. Ook tijdens het ontbijt hing deze geur in de zaal. De dame was bijzonder onvriendelijk - zat te eten toen ik binnenkwam en sprak met volle mond. De meneer deed erg zijn best.

Mignon village. Juste pour une nuit.

La situation géographique : en passant par un beau parc aménagé, on est à 10 min à pieds du centre historique. Parking gratuit devant l'hôtel.

Le lit : matelas très dur et oreiller très mou. Le lit grince dès que l'on se retourne pour essayer de trouver une position confortable. Pas possible de souper dans l'hôtel. Travaux autour de l'hôtel : accès difficile pour se rendre jusqu'à l'hôtel et réveil à 7h du matin à cause des travaux. Rien n'a été signalé à ce sujet avant notre arrivée. Pas d'ascenseurs, il faut monter 2 étages avec ses bagages.

Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Dame des Hauses war auch sehr bemüht.

Das Hotel ist wahrscheinlich die letzten 30 Jahre nie renoviert worden. Alles sehr alt. Das Bad war eine einzige Katastrophe. Duschtür schließt nicht und Wasser lief nicht ab. Das Preis-Leistingsverhältnis ist eigentlich eine Frechheit

Nie wieder

Das Hotel ist eine uralte Burg an der anscheinend seit Jahren nichts mehr gemacht wurde. Die Zimmer riechen unangenehm, haben einen wer weiß wie alten Teppich und die Betten sind vermutlich genauso alt. Auch der Innen und Außenbereich machen keinen einladenden Eindruck. Nachtäglich muss ich noch hinzufügen das Booking.com meine Bilder nicht veröffentlicht hat.

Prima hotel om een nachtje over te blijven.

De locatie vlak langs de Eifelsteig was geweldig. Je bent zo in het centrum van het mooie plaatsje Blankenheim. De eigenaren waren vriendelijk wn behulpzaam. Het dakterras was wel heel fijn en het ontbijt prima.

Het hotel is wel erg gedateerd en de badkamer kan wel een make over gebruiken.

Sehr schöne Lage oberhalb von Blankenheim. Wir wurden persönlich begrüsst und konnten unser Fahrräder in einem abgeschlossenen Raum abstellen.

Empfehlenswert!

Wir haben nur eine Nacht im Hotel Finkenberg verbracht, wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, obwohl wir sehr spät ankamen. Das Zimner war sehr schön, eine große Terrasse stand uns zur Verfügung, ein kühles Bier rundete den Tag ab! Auf unseren Wunsch wurde das Frühstück früher als sonst üblich angerichtet, so dass wir nach einer angenehmen und ruhigen Nacht gut gestärkt in den neuen Tag starten konnten. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis geht völlig in Ordnung!

Auch ein in die Jahre gekommendes Hotel kann gepflegt und gemütlich sein. Das war hier allerdings nicht der Fall. Positiv ist nur zu werten, dass uns nach dem Hinweis auf die kaputte Dusche ein neues Zimmer angeboten wurde.

Het hotel had zij beste tijd gehad , omgeving viel mee maar het ontbijt was goed .

Het hotel had zijn beste tijd gehad . Wij hadden de indruk dat de uitbaters het niet meer konden onderhouden . Er waren mankementen in verschillende kamers . TV die niet werkte , rookmelders verwijderd , stof en schimmel in de kamer en badkamer . De douche hing los , uit een andere douche kwam geen water .Zeker deze prijs niet waard . Dit zou eigenlijk niet meer mogen verhuurd worden . Op het ontbijt was niets aan te merken .

Lieber nicht nochmal

„Zentrum“ ist zu Fuß gut durch den neuen Park zu erreichen. Fahrrad konnte sicher im Bereich der ehemaligen Kegelbahn abgestellt werden. Steckdose zum Laden wurde bereitgestellt.

Sehr „in die Jahre gekommen“. Bad aus den 70er Jahren. Muffiger Geruch im Zimmer. Große Spinnengeweben im Türrahmen. Abgelaufene Lebensmittel beim Frühstück (Philadelphia Frischkäse). Preis-Leistung wirklich grenzwertig.
