A most charming château, nestled among stunning trees. If you’re craving a little respite in nature from a hectic holiday/work schedule, this is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.
Louise and her lovely daughter Diane serve breakfast in a beautiful period setting downstairs, while upstairs your traditional French bedroom awaits. The estate was founded by their remarkable ancestor Aglaè, who in the early 1800s planted the wonderfully diverse garden of magnificent trees and plants that still surrounds the house. It truly feels like a step back in time.
Don’t expect a slick, ultra-modern château of the nouveau riche. La Demeure de Aglaè offers something far richer: a simpler, more authentic experience of the France you know from the history books.

Good location, offthe beaten track. Good garden walks.
There was no lift which meant I had to climb stairs and that was not easy as I am partially disabled. The breakfast layout was rather poor.
