Oasi Del Fiumefreddo

This has been the best holiday house from all our experience. Nunzia was extremely helpful end friendly. And the rest of the staff too, including perfect espresso offered to us each morning for free... The unit was super clean, spacious, equipped with everything you need. Great shower, kitchen and garden, from which you can view mount Etna, during its vulcanic eruption!

We wish we could have stayed longer than three nights!

Wonderful place in the middle of nature/ farmland, very peaceful, with direct view on mount Etna, nice beach walking distance away, neighbour selling delicious local fruit and vegetables. Our 14months baby loved it a lot due to playgroup just Infront of appartment also equipped with trycycles and cars for little to ride. The appartment had everything we needed for our few days stay,basic things in the kitchen that you can cook simple breakfast and dinner, even oven, and the mocha coffee provided by the host was delicious! The best was eating outside on the terrace Infront of our apartment and admiring mount Etna. The town that is few minutes drive away also has all essential facilities and services you need and is a good place to explore the Est cost of Sicily ( from Syraquze to Messina) and hike the Etna.

Since you are in nature there are lots of insects that also comes to the appartment of course which I guess you need to take into account if you opt for that kind of place..., we had quite lots of ants all the time in the flat although we were cleaning floor all the time and not letting any food out.

Nunzia and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location to the beach and Mt Etna was great.

It was an old, run down property that had so much potential but no maintenance. There were cracks and holes in the plaster walls and kitchen counter. The smell of mold was overwhelming under the kitchen sink and was visible on the bathroom ceiling. I am surprised by the all the positive reviews I read when booking. Maybe it was just my unit that was in this condition, but judging by the state of the playground area and the green water in the turned off hot tubs, I’m guessing they are all similar. My “penthouse” apartment didn’t live up to its name.
