Had a change of plans and needed to stay somewhere for a night in Cusco, I chose Inkayra again for the exceptional price, good location and actual hot shower. Hotel service is really good and helpful, same as the breakfast. Although it can get a bit cold at night and noisy. If I come again to Cusco, this will be one of the first spots I'll check :>

Enjoyed my stay in Inkayra after long trekking trips I've had every day. The hot shower that just worked is one of the main highlights, as in my 2 month stay in Peru I've learned to appreciate. The morning breakfast was also a neat addition to start the day, it wasn't much - one egg, three buns, jam and coffee or tea, but still it's great that you do get it considering the price. The hotel is a bit understaffed although they're very helpful, especially the main guy at the desk who despite the language barrier helped me a lot using a translator app. You also get a clean towel, toilet paper and soap/shampoo for your stay. The cleaning takes place about every two days and they change the bed sheets and the towel, and empty the trash cans. The only downsides I've seen are that it gets a bit cold in the night, and it can be a bit loud from the road outside or the corridor. Also in my room not all lights were functioning and the ones working were quite dim. There was also a problem with the scarcity of sockets and that they were located in a weird spot in the room. But besides that you get a private place to stay in an actual hotel and not some private sketchy airbnb. The place is locked at all times and you have to call the door to enter, at night you might have to wait a while, but for safety purposes I can accept this fact. Can recommend!
