A perfect stay at a wonderful hotel

We loved everything. Amazing hotel, stunning rooms and view from our glass fronted awesome room. We enjoyed a perfect vista of the se and some awesome sunsets. Fabulous pool and sun beds which we had to ourselves most days. Special sunbathing and swimming in the sea from the hotel sea front swimming deck. Great breakfast and great staff We love Golden Rays

Significantly overpriced

The views are amazing , the staff very helpful and friendly .

Disappointing Value for Money – Not Worth the Price Charging 25 euros per person for breakfast—including for a 2-year-old child—is completely unjustified. The breakfast was poor value, with a very limited selection and no cooked options offered. It was disappointing, especially considering that other guests have raised similar concerns in reviews dating back to 2023. Clearly, no improvements have been made since then. The property itself is far from luxury and feels significantly overpriced. The apartments are quite standard, and for a weekly rate of 3,600 euros, I expected a much higher level of quality and service. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place, as the price does not match the experience or expectations.

Absolutely amazing place to spend a vacation

This experience has me planning future vacations with similar boutique hotels as the main lodging feature. The room, the view, the pool, the beachside, and the staff were all great. The absolute best part was the rocky cliffside lounging location on the water. It was so nice we spent the majority of our time there!

what amazing views and great luxury apartment steps from the sea.

Great place right by the sea. Amazing views from the pool and with its own access (and sun loungers) to the beach. A 30 minute walk to the local towns on a beautiful coast path (totally flat all the way). Apartment was stunning and plenty of space, with everything you would need to cook.

Spectacular views, but busy highway is too close to the penthouse. Way too much noise from quarry.

The view is amazing.

We didn't like that it is located right next to the busy road and a working quarry that was hammering rocks from sun up to sun down and even on the weekend. The gal that checked us in was sweet, but the general manager was hostile towards us when we wanted to check out a few days early because of the quarry noise and road noise. The A/C did not work in one room. The kitchen wasn't stocked very well to actually cook a meal. We had rented the penthouse suite which all the rooms are on one level. All the other type rooms are located on two floors, so having to go downstairs to the bedrooms.

Pleasant enough

A nice apartment albeit I was probably expecting a little more given the 5* rating and price. The apartment was pleasant enough albeit the bedrooms were downstairs which was unusual. The smart TV apps did not really work which, whilst not a massive issue, was not really expected given the cost. The pool facilities were excellent, as was the location (2 min walk from the sea, 20 min walk / €10 taxi to the shops / restaurants ). I did note that the bigger 3 / 4 bed apartments had a much better sea view, but I am sure this was reflected in the cost. So overall, a pleasant stay and I would recommend again. We were a family of four in a two bedroom apartment for three nights.

The host appreciated our privacy. We were let alone to enjoy our holiday, but whenever contacted an immediate reply was given. The location and the accommodation is tiptop.

Besides everything being tiptop, I would recommend installing mosquito nets to the slide doors/windows.

Our host, Sonje, was exceptional in every way. We loved the walk along the ocean promenade into the old Town.

No towel racks in bathrooms and no ledge in shower for toiletries. That's all! Everything else was fantastic!

location with view to Primosten and size of the appartment

too much light comming to rooms as exterior lights works whole night and there is no shades. Access to sea is rocky and do not expect a beach or real place where to lie by the sea. Parking on hilly property is complicated.. Property looks good but has a lot of demage on it (entrence door been banging, AC were not able to turned off by control etc)

We had a fantastic time at Golden Rays. On Arrival we were upgraded to a Penthouse with fantastic views - great. The pool is awesome. Golden Rays is situated very well near Primosten, we could walk along the sea to get there. We would come again.

The situation is perfect, quiet rocky beaches with crystal clear waters to dive into & a stunning 1 mile walk walk along the ocean front into the wonderful old town. A wide range of shops, bars, restaurants to chose from. The apartment is HUGE & had a sauna & plunge pool to boot.

There weren’t any sockets in the kitchen for a kettle, toaster & perc...we used an extension lead but it wasn’t very safe, especially with boiling water. The views to the sea came only from the bedrooms & corner of the living space, the patios only look onto the back of another building - but you don’t have to go far to get the view!
