Characterful and cool

Cool with character. Loved the tower with spiral staircase

It was difficult to unload our car near the entrance as there was limited space. Locals didn’t want us parking outside their houses. We did park down the street from our apartment for free once we’d unloaded. (We had 2x bikes and all the kit needed for cycling plus all our food and clothes!)

Perfect gite style accommodation for a visit to La Charite sur Loire

Great Location in the beautiful town of La Charite sur Loire, whilst a busy little street the apartment was quiet (with double glazed windows) beautifully renovated, full of character, includes a kitchen and terrace. Owners very pleasant to deal with, instructions for access very clear. Free parking at the end of the street. Activity suggestions provided by owners, we followed some suggestions and canoed on the Loire river and went on a wine tour in nearby Sancerre and Pouilly Fume (with Vinitours.com - excellent).

Only problem was with all the activities on offer we didn’t spend enough time in the appartment!

Ferienwohnung mit Charme in einem alten Gemäuer, Aufenthalt vor allem im Sommer sehr gut!

Nur 2 Minuten zu Fuß von der Ferienwohnung entfernt gibt es eine sehr gute Bäckerei. Das Baguette tradtionell dort schmeckt fantastisch. Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr zentral, aber ruhig und es ist völlig unkompliziert, in der Straße einen Parkplatz zu finden.

Im Bad wäre eine Ablagefläche gut und der Internetzugang könnte etwas schneller sein. Wenn man vom Bett aufsteht, muss man etwas aufpassen, dass man sich nicht den Kopf an einem Kaminvorsprung stößt. Anregung an den Vermieter: Gegen die vielen Tauben in La Charité könnte auch die Ansiedlung eines Falkenpaares in einem der Türme helfen -:)
