Appartement du Château du Grand Bouchet

De locatie is fantastisch. Het is heel rustig. Het zwembad is prachtig. De tuin is gigantisch en was fantastisch om te ontdekken met de kinderen. Het appartement was erg groot.

Minpuntjes waren de vele muggen toen wij er waren. Het was heet en de ramen kon je hierdoor niet open zetten. Ander klein minpuntje is dat ons appartement bovenin het kasteel zat en het een drempel is om te koken en dan buiten (meerdere verdiepingen naar beneden) te gaan eten. Ook een minpuntje waar wij zelf geen last van hadden; het is erg gehorig, de eerste dagen zat er een ouder koppel in het appartement onder ons. Zij hadden er last van als onze 3 kinderen aan het spelen waren in ons appartement. Maar ik kan iedereen aanraden hier te verblijven!

The Chateau is a step back in time. Very French, simple but classic. Gardens are huge, pool very secluded and pretty. Seats under mature trees, small playground, views spectacular. Lady who runs it was so lovely, couldn't have been kinder. About 20 mins outside Tours. Great walks, cycling and runs direct from the chateau. No traffic noise at all, just birds. View from the kitchen and bedrooms was of a large lawn and huge trees, and caught the afternoon and evening sun. Secluded. Kitchen table big and perfect for eating and playing games. Well equipped with pans/plates/glassware etc. Linen soft and everything spotlessly clean.

Not a criticism because it is what it is but it is on the 3rd floor so not suitable for disabled. Floor boards creaky so best for a group who are co-ordinated in sleep and rising. Old school hand shower and bath - worked great - but if you want american style shower it isn't here.

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum Verweilen! Aus jedem Zimmer der Wohnung hat man einen traumhaften Blick in den Schlosspark. Man hört den Wind durch die Bäume rauschen und die Vögel zwitschern. Die Eigentümer sind wirklich freundlich.

The apartment was charming, very well appointed and tastefully decorated in French style with a number of antique pieces of furniture. Very well equipped kitchen with a combination microwave and dishwasher. Lovely big bathroom, the bath suited us very well. Comfortable bed. The chateau is set in expansive grounds with many pleasant seating areas and lovely views. We used the swimming pool a couple of times on very hot days. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we had the use of a washing machine and dryer when needed. Very convenient location just outside Tours with a number of big supermarkets in easy driving distance. We also used the closest Tram park and ride for a visit to Tours. Our thanks to Dominique and husband for a lovely holiday.

Nothing - all was perfect for us.
