Perfect for anyone looking for a surf and relaxation getaway.

"My stay at Surfbreak was the best of the best. The place is perfect for traveling alone or with friends. It has the ideal mix between the privacy of a hotel, because it has private rooms with private bathrooms, but it also offers a shared kitchen and common areas where you can meet other guests and connect with people. I traveled alone and met people with whom I later went out to some bars and surfing. Plus, being able to use the shared kitchen to store my food and cook was key to saving some money. The hosts are extremely helpful and always available for whatever you need. It’s run by the owners, which always adds an extra touch. The location is ideal for those who want to surf or do any kind of water sport. It’s just a 10-minute walk from perfect waves. I RECOMMEND IT 1000 TIMES. WITHOUT A DOUBT, IT’S MY PLACE FOR MY NEXT VACATION."

Eine sehr gemütliche, saubere und durch den schönen Garten auch bunte Unterkunft zum Entspannen nach tollen Surfvormittagen! Das höfliche und sehr informative Personal, gesundes Frühstück und jederzeit zur Verfügung gestellte Getränke und Obst haben den Aufenthalt noch zusätzlich versüßt. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend und nah am der wunderbaren Playa Encuentro. Liebevolle, informative und sehr hilfsbereite Besitzer - einfach ausgezeichnet. Mein Sohn und ich haben uns in Surfbreak jederzeit super gut gefühlt und empfehlen es wärmstens!

An unforgettable, welcoming paradise with exceptional service, staff, and stunning surroundings!

This truly is paradise—I had an incredible stay and wished I never had to leave! I ended up extending my visit twice because I simply couldn’t get enough. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel completely welcome and at home. Ele and Jero, the managers, showed genuine care and attention to every detail, constantly finding ways to elevate the guest experience. Thanks to them, I enjoyed unforgettable surfing lessons with Wave Soul Retreats—highly, highly recommend their fantastic instructors! Natalie and Roshni at reception were always cheerful and ready to help with any questions about the area. And the massage with Mireya? Absolutely divine. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, with hot water and great shower pressure. The cleaning team and the groundskeeper (who keeps the gardens immaculate) were friendly, always smiling, and attentive. The tropical gardens create a serene oasis, complemented by two sparkling pools perfect for cooling off in the afternoon. I spent countless hours relaxing on the hammock or poolside chairs, soaking up the peaceful vibe. The beach is just a short, easy 7-minute walk away—right where the surfing action is—offering breathtaking sunsets every evening. Getting to Cabarete is a breeze via a quick mototaxi or guagua ride. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and plentiful, with coffee, tea, water, and bananas available all day. The kitchen was spotless and well-equipped for guests who want to cook. Nearby, Park Food Mall offers great dining options—I loved the burger joint, the poke bowls, and those mega cookies! I’m already planning my next trip back to this slice of paradise and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Exceptional value for money and an unforgettable experience!

De tuin van de accommodatie was prachtig onderhouden. Locatie, indien je met de auto bent, is uitstekend. Paar minuten rijden van Cabarete. Ontbijt was uitgebreid en lekker!

Très bon spot proche de Cabarete !

L'emplacement est vraiment bien, à proximité de Cabarete et de belles plages ! Les surfer en particuliers vont être ravis ! La chambre est fonctionnelle, le petit déjeuner est très bien ! Il y'a un accès libre à une salle de yoga pour se détendre avec une belle vue ! On a aussi apprécié les bonnes vibes et l'accès libre à l'eau potable, au café et aux bananes !

La propreté de la chambre pourrait être un peu mieux surtout au niveau du sol où de nombreuses saleté et poussières étaient présentes.

Leisure with excellence, relaxation and great vibes

Loved literally EVERYTHING of this property, this is what I called my home when I go to cabarete, I just love everything of it, how close it is to everything (central cabarete, other beaches, restaurants) this is the third time of me staying in this place and will forever be my place when I go there 🫶🏽

I think I loved everything about it. The breakfast, the location, the room, the common area - the pool, yoga shala. People working there were nice and helpful. Was easy to walk to the beach and rent a surfboard.

I stayed here for over a week and if I had more time, I would have loved to stay longer. It was very tranquil, relaxing, social and enjoyable. The breakfast is healthy, the bread is baked there (I think, not 100% sure but it was fresh and warm). The coffee was very good and lots of it! The breakfast area/kitchen/main pool area is open all day and it's very nice atmosphere with some people working, some relaxing on the hammock, some swimming etc. It was a very friendly and relaxed environment and I enjoyed chatting with other guests and shared stories and even played some jenga. The people working there are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and hope to go back in the future.

Amazing vibe! Perfect stay

Everything there was absolutely amazing! Rooms are very nice and clean, and you also have a gallon of water for free. The garden is gorgeous, very relaxing. The breakfast was tasty and hearty. The accommodation is close to the beach and place is really quiet, a few minutes from there is also food park. Staff and owners are very nice people, helpful, is obvious that they doing it with heart. <3 We were very sad to leave. If you are considering visiting, don't hesitate! The place is a small paradise!

Relaxing with so many fun adventures nearby!

The location, amenities, and vibe of the B&B was incredible! Ele and Agus were welcoming and attentive hosts and it was a wonderful experience - wish our stay were much longer. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Best place to stay in the area! I would give 7 stars if i could. It’s comfortable, clean, not noisy, with lot of plants, good vibes, energy, nice breakfast, well organized with ultra helpful & friendly personnel making Your stay perfect. Additionaly to that they have awesome options for good surfing (surfschool & Rental) and Yoga, Massage and some events that are making a connection between people with No pressure. Its close to the beach, cheap Shop & nice bars/restaurants. I’m sure we will come back, cause it’s been the best place to stay in DR so far :)

The best place to stay in El Encuentro.

I can really recommend Surfbreak B&B. Although it's a bit far from shops, restaurants and beaches where you can chill (ca. 7kms away from Cabarete and Sosua) it's a perfect place to stay if you want to have a really great surfing spot super close and you prefer quiet environment. It has all you need. The owners and Karina from the reception are very helpful and give lots of useful information and tips about the area and surfing. They provide nice breakfast (pineapple, papaya, bananas are always super fresh and soo sweet). I kept extending my stay and got a little discount which was nice. I would definitely stay there again and hope to be back someday.

I didn't like the plastic mattress cover under my bed sheet. It was uncomfortable and not practical whatsoever considering high air temperatures. I reported it and I think my remark was taken into consideration. That wasn't something I'd say was very bothering, though.

great place! amazing garden! the pool also is so nice! you could spend the whole day there. you have a yoga studio with a great view. is a bit far from the center, so if you look for a peaceful place, that’s perfect. karina was very Friendly and welcoming.

there was no water in the room. just a few drops from the sink and a few more from the shower. not he best after a day on the beach

Just found paradise

I extended my stay because I met such nice people here and started picking up the surfing. It really is a paradise with the beautiful gardens and pools and lots of things to do nearby! Our host gave a lot of tips and is really helpful. I’m having a amazing time here!

The rooms without AC could get a little bit hot, but doable with the vans.
