Yangshuo Secret Garden

Ho portato qui un gruppo di 16 persone (me inclusa) per trascorrere la notte al Yangshuo Secret Garden dopo lo spettacolo delle luci. La struttura è meravigliosa, sembrava un piccolo borgo incastonato nel paesaggio delle montagne, molto silenzioso. Le camere erano grandissime e dotate di tutti i comfort. Inoltre abbiamo avuto la miglior cena di tutto il nostro viaggio in Cina, il tutto pagando un prezzo che - pur leggermente più elevato della media in Cina - è veramente irrisorio per gli standard europei. Ho voluto complimentarmi personalmente con la direttrice dell'albergo, e consiglio caldamente a tutti di trascorrere qui almeno un paio di notti. Tutto il gruppo è stato molto soddisfatto della scelta da me fatta, e non posso che consigliarlo a tutti

The staff were super friendly and helpful and fluent in English, and the Chinese food was very tasty (the preserved beans especially!). The property sits back from the main road and so it's very quiet and peaceful and the outdoor areas between the different buildings are really charming. The rooms are well proportioned and the air-con was a relief to get back to after a day out in the heat and humidity. Didis were never more than three minutes away once booked.

I found the room I was in a little dark but as I was out most of the day, it didn't really matter so much. A mini fridge might have been useful to keep milk and medication but we only stayed two nights so it was fine.

Everything!! This has been one of our favourite places since travelling around the world. The staff are incredible and made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The design and layout is so lovely, it doesn’t feel like you’re staying at a hotel but at someone’s home. Having a wide range of food at the restaurant was also very welcome. I even got sick and they arranged the local doctor to come who was wonderful.

We were there in winter and room was freezing cold with noisy air-conditioner to try and warm room unsuccessfully. Bed was uncomfortably hard. We stayed out all day and did not look forward to returning to hotel. Location was distant from town. I suppose it meant we witnessed country life
