Kagoshima Little Asia

This is not only about the place itself, but also the people you share the space and time with. People tend to be respectful while staying at the place. I like when we can engage with strangers who we share the accomodation with.

The train voice at night was not bad, somehow I didn't hear it during the night.

Very money wise hostel to us, and extra fantastic location! Nice hostel♡

The price, I don't want to give any complaints, try here once! haha

Near station, cheapest hostel in town. I have stayed in much nicer hostels in japan for the same price

The mattresses are very extremely thin at the middle section. I have travelled japan for the last month and never had an issue with thin futons except here. It was like laying down on a wooden blank, which you are. The mattresses are old and worn out, for the sides are still fluffy. In the end i got another (mouldy) mattress to use additionally but it was not much help. My back has never hurt this much, it took a week to recover (i am only 24 years old…) Otherwise the place is a bit dirty, run down and has weird star wars figurines around. You are not allowed to wear the indoor slippers provided on the kitchen mat, which looks extremely dirty and moldy, i did not want to walk there with just socks on, it was disgusting
