Apartments Sven

Quite an amazing place to stay and quite an amazing couple who runs the place which really made a speical difference. It was the closest location to the park (Entrance #1). While we decided to rent a car the owner offered to pick us up and drop off from the bus station that was a short walk away. They had chickens on the property and she gave us fresh eggs to eat for breakfast which was Amazing and they were ok if we fed the chickens which was fun. While originally i thouht i wanted to stay at the hotel in Plitvice park, I am so glad we didn't as it was very special to stay in the Sven guest home. They even let me use their little car vacume to vacume out my car.. amazing hosts!

They have wonderful lounge chairs outside you relax on as well as a picknic table to eat outside if you wanted. If there was any way to cover either for shade it would be nice for the daytime. In the evening that isn't needed as the sun is on the other side of the house.

The location is perfect! The property is beautiful! We loved sitting outside and just enjoying the view. The owner is great!.. she even drove us to the park, even though it's only a 5-10 min walk. The apartment is super clean, smells great and has everything you need.

It would have been nice to have AC. It wasn't horrible but we prefer to sleep in cooler temperatures. Opening the windows helped but let in lots of bugs. I'm sure most of the year is ok without it.

This was the perfect 1 night stay to explore Plitvice National Park. The owner was waiting for us at our arrival and gave us detailed information on how to explore the park with the limited time we had. We left our car and we had to walk on the main highway for 500m to one of the parks entrances from the apartment. She also gave great dinner recommendations. The rooms were comfortable and we really enjoyed the comfortable outdoor seating post dinner.

The room was very big and really clean. It had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful details like the first-aid kit. The host was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us a detailed introduction to the national park, shared some homemade desserts and milk with us, and even drove us to the bus station at the end of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place!
