What a lovely breakfast/dinning room nicest one we’ve been in , the beautiful furniture and fireplace,even in the bedroom so impressed with the furniture.

The location and ease having a restaurant and bar there when you are tired from Travelling .shower was good

The toilet roll Dispenser was annoying . Room was tight to open our two big suitcases

The off street parking and close proximity to the castle

The food wasn't that good and very over priced. The starter was £10 and when it finally arrived it was burnt and not very nice. My wife asked what was the soup of the day and was told there wasn't a soup of the day although it was on the menu. The so-called a la carte menu was a basic pub menu but had la carte prices. I had a rib eye steak. I asked for medium rare but it arrived at the table.rare The plate consisted of three slices of mushrooms, half a tomato. Lots of peas and frozen chips. I left half of it. My wife had the lamb cofter which she left. I asked if I could have a steak knife and they give me a normal knife. The table had a bowl full of plastic sachets with tomato sauce and brown sauce . Not really the height of sophistication. The new owners told me they had only bought it a week ago. My advice to them would be don't buy a car if you can't drive it.
