Perfect place to stay for visiting Pembroke and a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and we loved the breakfasts in the morning. When a hairdryer in the room didn't work, the staff were very accommodating and quick to replace it. We loved that the hotel was an easy walk from everything in Pembroke, and we definitely recommend a free guided tour of Pembroke Castle. We had a good meal at The Waterman Arms on the riverside facing the castle, and from there you can follow the riverside all the way back to the hotel - complete with a million swans! Finally, Stackpole and Barafundle Bay Beach are only a 10 min drive down the road and worth visiting at any time in the year (we went in January!), while Tenby is only a 22 min drive away.

The weather, haha! We're not sure the heating was working in our room as the radiator didn't ever seem to be on, but it was warm enough anyway.

The problem we had was, we stayed on a Sunday and the pub is closed. We were t forewarned of this so we had to go out in the evening for refreshments.

It was surprising that there was no extra loo paper in the bathroom, so when the one in the covered dispenser ran out, there was nothing!! It was also surprising that at breakfast time all the attractive tables near the windows had "reserved" signs on them for prospective dinner guests who may or may not appear in 12 hours time. It seemed the interests of the actual current paying guests in the morning were deemed very unimportant!

Good comfortable choice in town

The hotel is tidy and modern with a stylish bar and decent rooms. The cooked breakfast was excellent and staff were laid back and pleasant. The town is not large but it is well placed on the main road and the parking behind the hotel is reasonably sized.

We enjoyed our stay at this property which conveniently located in the town centre.

The central location made for a short walk to Pembroke Castle and they had their own car park in the rear of the hotel which was very convenient. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were very good.

The property was central to everywhere , and the staff were absolutely amazing . Breakfast was good although was too big for my appetite so I’d ask for a small . Overall a pleasant stay and will definitely be back to paddle board as you have Pembroke beach and Tenby local perfect for paddle boarders

Comfy, quiet, clean and friendly.

Ample parking, friendly staff, clean and tidy, comfy bed, good sized bathroom, convenient location, quiet, lovely breakfast, would definitely have no issues in recommending or returning ourselves one day.

Very minor things - the bedroom was so light all night from the light outside and the extractor fan in the bathroom came on even if you didn’t turn the light on and then went on for 20 minutes which wasn’t great in the middle of the night and we hope it didn’t wake anyone else up. Other than that … literally perfect.

The lady was sarcastic . We ordered a double and a twin room. The lady said we can't saw a bed in half. But it wasn't until the next morning that I realised the so called king size was in actual fact to dingles put together, so if she had explained that then me and my girls could of swapped rooms, the lady told me she had no twin rooms available the place could if been cleaner hairs in the bath room, toilet seat went to one side needs tightening, cheap biscuits hand wash nearly empty and horrible smell soaps the same cheap horrible smell. My girls room they couldn't have the window open as people smoking outside, doors banging and people talking all night long, and again the lady said I could check on the girls ad if they where going to be a problem, my girls age 17 and 19 are working perfectly able to look after themselves are not kids dont need checking on thank you

A memorable Stay

Disabled Room was spacious all facilities in the room . Food in Resturant was lovely, had a beef curry in the evening very tasty, really enjoyed the full English breakfast waitress was very pleasant and friendly nothing was to much trouble for her All staff were pleasant and friendly, we have stayed at this Hotel before in the Anex Will stay here again .

Only Complaint was the bed, i found it very uncomfortable to high for me, had difficultly getting into it and off i am disabled and was afraid of falling out of bed, could have done with a lower bed .
