Fariyas Resort Lonavala

A very good resort for having a chill time with family, especially if travelling with kids. Of course, the highlights are the waterpark rides and the indoor temperature controlled pool. Both are well maintained and super fun to spend time, we enjoyed a lot during our stay. The staff is helpful and they take care of your requests very well; we didn't have to ask for much but a few things like plain non-spicy daal for our kid, quickly replacing tea in the room that was served cold initially, are examples of good customer service. They use glass bottles for water which I really liked and hope that more hotels follow this. Good decent sized rooms with iron and ironing board, which was really helpful. The breakfast buffet spread is very good, food is overall tasty, some items were really good and some others we found average.

I would have to be picky to find things that I didn't like: A lot of reviews have mentioned this and I also agree the food is incredibly expensive here, I mean it says 5 star, but it's not really something like Taj or similar level 5 star, so even though I had 3 meals there, the food is super expensive than the property should command, of course, in my opinion. For the dinner buffet, maybe they could add 1 or 2 items to have a slightly better variety (general expectations from a similarly priced buffet elsewhere).

Location, Staff and amazing breakfast options they had. Water Park inside the property was amazing and our kids really enjoyed it. Amazing valley views.

Bathroom was not maintained properly it was very yellowish, Bathtub was having a drainage issue, Hand wash sink was damaged and not managed properly. Even bathing area was very yellowish and unhygienic. Hand shower was not working and it was broken. Overall stay was good, rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed it but bathroom was disaster.
