Det var fine, rene hytter som for det meste oppfylte forventningene jeg hadde til den slags type hytte. Vi hadde den minste typen, og den var liten, men tilstrekkelig, og godt oppvarmet, selv i svært kaldt vintervær. Hytten lå rett ved lysløyper og en flott akebakke, og det var ikke langt til bussen til Hamar. Mulig å kjøre bil helt frem.
Det største minuset var at vakttelefonen som var oppgitt at skulle være bemannet til midnatt, ikke var bemannet. Dermed var det ikke mulig å få hjelp etter kontortid. Dette var litt kjedelig da vi omkom like etter kontortid og oppdaget at kjøleskapet ikke virket. Det ble tilfredsstillende løst neste dag, men var en ekstra bekymring, og det kunne vært verre om f.eks. strømmen hadde gått etter kontortid.
