A nice centrally located historic hotel in El Centro of QUERETARO

Location, staff, historic building

Unfortunately, the first two nights of our four night stay was during the Festival of the Three Kings. There was a huge light show tunnel installation right outside the hotel (our balcony opened to it, which was spectacular. However, from 6 PM until 10 PM each of those two nights there played blaringly loud Christmas carols (the same 3 ones each time) every 30 minutes. This was very distracting but fortunately stopped by our bedtime. Also, starting around 4 AM each morning the church bells from multiple nearby churches started ringing regularly. We loved our stay there, but want other guests to know about the regular bell noise before coming.

Loved my stay

Food in the restaurant was exelent, all the staff in the hotel super friendly and always making sure we were enjoying our meals. Front desk was super helpful, fast check in, wake up calls on time, rides to the aeropuerto exactly on time.

Nothing to say, will be my favorite hotel all the time we visit Queretaro.

I loved it!!

I loved the atmosphere of the hotel when I entered because of 200 years old building. It was so exotic to me. My single room seems to be additional structure so I wasn’t really impressed with it but the room had everything I needed. So I really enjoyed my stay. The food was also good. I’ll stay here again next time!

Said it above, my single room wasn’t tasteful compared to the original building. But as a Japanese, I was comfortable staying in a cozy small room that had everything I needed.

This is my "Go To" hotel for exploring Querétaro Centro. The location, decor, quality food and customer service are great, particularly given the reasonable price.

Located in a central area.

The hotel is in a nice area, but unfortunately the property itself feels quite dated. A major drawback for us was the large restaurant located in the center of the hotel. The noise and food smells carried throughout the vicinity, which made it difficult to fully relax. Additionally, the AC unit in our room was not working properly. We didn’t request assistance during our stay, so perhaps it could have been resolved, but it still impacted our comfort. Overall, while the location was convenient, the experience did not meet our expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again.

The internet wasn’t always available, we have to go back to the front desk to reactivate the card keys, low water pressure, kind a small bathroom, no fridge or microwave in the rooms. I’m not complaining just giving my opinion.

Come for the restaurant but stay elsewhere.

The restaurant was excellent and the whole staff was friendly and accommodating.

The hotel room was very spartan. No window and no decorations. It felt like a tomb. And, the bedroom door was rickety. The noise from the restaurant lasted until closing.

Good hotel for the price

The feel of being in an old style looking hotel in the center of the city.

They close the outside wooden doors at night. So if you get back late from a late night activity you will find the door closed and a bunch of homeless people sleeping there staring at you while you are knocking on the door for some minutes until someone opens and asks for your reservation.

The hotel does not care about its customers.

Bad communication. I requested a change of date but they would not communicate with me. They did not respond- either “yes” or “no, either in the App or email. Because of the uncertainty I found not show up but they still charged me for the room. The hotel not communicating with me ruined my trip.

Location, style of hotel, front desk service, quality and price of La Llave restaurante

Rooms equipped with remote for control of temperature. Control panel has option for heat, which is needed in January because it gets cold in Queretaro. I worked the control for 2 days without success and finally went to reception to request a new remote. They explained THERE IS NO HEAT in the rooms.

We had a fantastic time exploring the city during the week of Day of the Dead . The parade was a highlight.

we enjoyed staying in the historic building

while we chose to visit during the Day of the Dead we didn’t realize that we would have to contend with pounding music right outside our room on the street competing with the music from the inner courtyard. this would be the perfect hotel any other week of the year but I would avoid it during day of the dead.
