Agriturismo del Sole

At Agroturismo del Sole we experienced genuine Italian hospitality with excellent service, great breakfast and dinner. You can watch the sunset while having dinner at the restaurant. The antipasti were so generous, they were a full meal on their own. We tried beef, chicken, spagetti, and ravioli. All very delicious. The owners work very hard all day to ensure a great experience. We were picked up by car at the bus station and transported back with our luggage on the checkout. The location is an easy walk from the center of Anacapri, where you can take a bus to Capri, and other sites of interest.

We unplugged the fridge for the night because it was too noisy. The bathroom was simple with shower curtain, although it was clean and functional.

The hosts make this place. Since we were travelling light we walked from the bus terminus at Piazza della Pace — about 10 minutes, very doable with just carry-on bags (though with heavy luggage you'd want Luigi's minibus pickup). Luigi wasn't there when we arrived, but his wife welcomed us warmly with a refreshing homemade lemonade — the perfect thing after the trip up. The farm sits high on Monte Solaro with a breathtaking view over Anacapri and the sea toward Ischia and Procida, and the sunsets from the terrace are as good as everyone says. It's peaceful, green, full of lemon trees, with a few friendly rabbits roaming around — genuinely feels like a little escape from the crowds of Capri. A lovely bonus: about 7 minutes down the lane there's a magical spot where you can see the lighthouse and the Faraglioni — well worth the short stroll. The food is a real highlight. There's no fixed menu — they tell you what they're cooking that evening, all fresh and homemade — and our dinner was one of the best meals of our trip. We even discovered a delicious mela annurca digestivo to end our meal. Breakfast is very good too. One honest note: prices for dinner and drinks aren't mentioned up front, and you only find out the total at the end. It feels a bit awkward to ask beforehand, so you just go with it for the sake of the experience. Worth it for the setting and the food, but good to know going in. We'd happily come back.
