The best stay on the coast.

I cannot convey just how much we enjoyed our stay at the Guest House Burin. Beautiful views, great rooms - and it is run by a family from Soline who has lived there for centuries. The hosts are incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. They also have beach access -- just head down the stairs down the block from the apartment. The water off the coast is gorgeous - crystal clear. I won't stay anywhere else when I come back to visit. Highly, highly, recommended.

Fantastic rural retreat

We had the 1 bed apartment with an additional sofa bed. Clean and tidy. The kitchen had all the utensils and equipment you needed. Lovely compact kitchen. Fabulous location with great views. No 10 bus runs from Cavtat to Dubrovnik, stopping on the main road outside the apartments. Visible from main road so it was easy to find. Greeted by the owner and her grandson, who speaks very good English. They took their time to explain where everything was in the apartment and where to go to supermarkets and restaurants. Please note Soline is pronounced Solin-eh. It will save you confusion for the airport shuttle bus. You can get this to stop at the one bus stop in Soline on its journey to Dubrovnik, it will still cost you €10 each though.. I also recommend downloading the Uber app and booking a taxi which worked out at €16 for the return to the airport. We loved walking into Mlini every day for the bars and restaurants, it is about a 15-minute walk. 5 min walk down to the beach where you can swim in the clear water. Really good value for money and was pleased we booked. Highly recommend if you dont mind walking a bit to get to local facilities. 1km to nearest supermarket, 1.5km to Mlini and you can easily walk on the costal path to the next couple of villages.

No telly in main bedroom but not a big deal. Bathroom slightly dated and a small leak in front corner of tray. Would have been nice for bigger bath towels as they were a bit small. Living room could do with a corner lamp as the main light was a bit clinical but we adapted with a bedside lamp!

Nice place with a little bay down the hill

There are three apartments next to each other. Each with its own terrace. That was really nice to sit down. In front of that, the garden with some nice relaxing chairs. A little kitchen, but with all the comfort you need. And absolutely great about this location is the little beach/bay. It is a steep walk down and up, but the water is so refreshing. The hosts (a lady and her grand son) were lovely as well. The grand son spoke english very well. He helped us with some information as well about f.e. the bus line to Dubrovnik. The bus stop is just in front of the house!!

There is not such a thing that we did not like. We had a little inconvenience, but they fixed that as far as they could.

Calm, cosy, comfortable and close to tourist attractions

The host gave us the warmest welcome and an even warmer good bye. We felt at home during the whole stay and were very comfortable. I recommend this place for anyone that wants to relax and be close to places worth visiting like Dubrovnik Old Town and City of Mlini. If we ever come to Dubrovnik again we will absolutely check if Burin is available. 10/10

Just wonderful

It's hard to do the Guest House Burin family justice in a few words, but I'll try! From the warm welcome and catering to our needs, right down to the thoughtful gifts of home grown treats, the family absolutely went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The proprietors quite rightly take a pride in their beautiful apartments. The location is heavenly - a sea view garden and veranda with fruit and veg growing, swallows darting around and the sound of the cicadas make for a wonderfully peaceful setting to relax in. The apartment is very comfortable, particularly the bed, and well equipped for self catering. Everything is clean and well maintained and we were short of nothing. The WiFi and air conditioning function really well as do the shower and cooking facilities. There's a small shop a ten minute walk away and the bus stops are close by where you can easily get the number 10 bus towards Dubrovnik or Cavtat. It's a steep walk down to the sea (and back up) but one we felt was completely worth it as the pebble beach was really quiet and the swimming was wonderful. We spent a lot of time in the crystal clear water, fish spotting and cooling down from the 30 degree heat. We took full day trips to Mostar and Kotor which I would recommend and then we explored Dubrovnik and Cavtat for sightseeing, restaurants and shopping. If you're wondering about a holiday here, just book it - you won't be sorry! Big thanks to the very kind family who really made our stay so special, we had the best time ever! We were also very touched that you noticed it was my husband's birthday and left us some gorgeous treats. 🥹❤️ I must add, the home made liqueur, the apricots, the lemonade and the candied orange peel were all fabulous!

A Gem

We love to stay at small, family owned properties, so if that criteria is yours, consider this one! We loved visiting this quiet, well-loved home. There’s a beautiful view of the sea, a nice vegetable garden, and plenty of peace and quiet. A small beach is available, albeit via a steep uphill walk on the way back. This is a place to unwind, rest, and do a lot of nothing! Dubrovnik is about thirty minutes away, which was why we chose it—-we wanted to be away from the crowds. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the reviews that suggested that Old Town is the place to stay. I’d rather have a quiet place with a sea view than hordes of folks, higher prices, and no view. The owners greet guests with offerings from their property, and are friendly without being intrusive. The room we stayed in had a kitchenette, so we could cook if we desired. The room was next door to another couple who were returning again for a second year—-it’s a place that feels like home. I will look back at this property fondly as I remember this trip.

It didn't bother me, but do be aware that ants are part of life and to control them, sometimes spray might be needed.

Superb

Wonderful stay, lovely elderly couple who hosted and were very kind they welcomed us with a juice and freshly plucked figs. Very clean and organised accommodation. Surrounded by nature with a sea view and walking distance to beach right ahead. Easily accessible to Dubrovnik and surrounding towns with a car. Definitely recommend for family and friends looking for a peaceful stay.

Lovely place, lovely hosts, lovely everything

We chose Guest House Burin for its beautiful sea view, for its short distance from the beach and from Dubrovnik Old Town and for its nice accomodation. Turns out that it was so much more than that! We were 4 adults, so we had the suite, located in the beautiful 360 years old fully renovated traditional dalmatian house. The suite was very, very clean and it had all the utilities we needed to cook. There were 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a kitchen and a dining. Its terrace was stunning and the view was exquisite! The hosts are a lovely couple who welcomed us with a delicious cherry alcoholic drink made by them. After that, each day they broughts us something from their garden - fruits and vegetables. Nevertheless, they were eager to help whenever we’ve kindly asked them to - even their adorable nephews helped us with a problem my laptop had. I will always appreciate a family business! The beach was splendid - it was intimate and very clean. It was worthy of the up-and-down climb we had to do once or maximum twice per day to get there - it was a pleasure even for not-so-sporty people! The distance from Guest House Burin to Dubrovnik old town is 15 minutes by car. We didn’t use the bus because it was cheaper and more comfortable to pay for parking than for the bus/Uber. All in all, I would highly recommend the property to anyone, as I have already recommended it to friends and family! It truly is a relaxation oasis.

The apartment is very clean, confortable, it has everything you need in it. The terrace is big and has o great view. The owners are great people, very friendly, warm and there for you if you need anything. Each room has it’s own bathroom, air conditioning, tv. The bus station to Dubrovnik city is 2-3 minutes away. The bus station when you come from Dubrovnik is 400 metres away and tou have to walk on the street, next the cars that are passing by.

For us it was no problem, but is good to know that the apartment doesn’t have a livingroom.

Una bellissima vacanza tra relax e avventura

La posizione, la vista, la comodità nel raggiungere la fermata del bus, la vicinanza a spiagge come quella di Soline, Plat, ma anche Mlini e Srebreno. Inoltre l’accoglienza è stata molto calorosa, l’host è stato molto disponibile e gentile.

Forse unica difficoltà in alcuni momenti ad arieggiare il bagno, ma comunque poco rilevante.

Un petit paradis

Accueil très sympathique et plein d'explications. Les hôtes nous ont offert des fruits de leur jardin et une limonade faite maison à l'arrivée. Logement impeccable d'une propreté rarement vue pour ma part. Un extérieur magnifique et une vue à couper le souffle. Très confortable, literie au top, très bien équipé en cuisine. Extérieur très agréable, nous pouvions cueillir des fruits dans le jardin pour notre consommation : figues, pêches, prunes, raisins. Le plus que je n'avais pas vu à la réservation : un accès à une petite plage très pentu (assez sportif) mais arrivé en bas c'est juste magnifique. Très bien situé à 20mn de l'aéroport mais sans les nuisances, 20mn de Dubrovnik sans la foule.

Précision : le logement se situe au numéro 2 de la rue mais il n'est pas indiqué nous avons dû appeler le propriétaire pour trouver. Il faut aller jusqu'au bout de la petite rue c'est quasiment la dernière maison à droite.

Nie polecam, brak prywatności, ciszy, wyposażenie ubogie i wiele innych

Plaża, warzywa z ogródka, mile powitanie.

Byliśmy w Chorwacji 4 raz. Zawsze spotykaliśmy się z lepszymi warunkami niż wskazywał booking, z przemiłą obsługą, ale tym razem było skrajnie inaczej. Wszystko od warunków, po obsługę i okolicę znacznie gorsze niż w opisie. Początek był miły, mile przywitanie napojami i warzywami z ogródka, a później było tylko gorzej. Nawet widok niby ładny, jednak 2 metry dalej koparka, laweta, stare zardzewiałe auta i chyba mechanik z komisem samochodowym. Przede wszystkim szczytem skandalu było, wchodzenie właścicielki do naszego apartamentu pod naszą nieobecność. Nikt nigdy nas nie zapytał, czy sobie tego życzymy. Pierwszy raz myśleliśmy, że po prostu zapomniała zostawić nam worek na śmieci i przy okazji je wyniosła, kolejny raz przyszła poprawić chodniczki przy łóżku i zostawić ręcznik w łazience, mimo że mówiliśmy, że nie potrzebujemy. Przychodziła najpewniej sprawdzać czystość, kontrolować apartament, nie wiem właściwie jaki mógł być cel tych wizyt. Jedno jest pewne prywatność tam nie istnieje!! Skandal. Kolejne, apartament nie ma na wyposażeniu wielu opisanych w ogłoszeniu przedmiotów w tym żelazka, deski do prasowania, suszarki na pranie i wielu innych. Nie posiada nawet zmiotki, czego bardzo mi brakowało, żeby zmieść okruchy z podłogi w kuchni. Nie ma worków na śmieci, o które trzeba się prosić. Ogólnie kuchnia dość trudna w zagospodarowaniu i gotowaniu. Jedno gniazdko. Prysznic w łazience nieszczelny, woda lała się po całej łazience, oczywiście też nie było czym jej wytrzeć. 2. dzwiekoszczelność to mit!!! Od połowy naszego pobytu byliśmy codziennie budzeni w okolicy godziny 6/ 7 przez głośnych sąsiadów i ich dziecko, czuliśmy się jakby byli w otwartym pomieszczeniu obok. Nie po to człowiek jedzie na urlop do DZWIĘKOSZCZELNEGO apartamentu, żeby budzić się 30 minut do godziny później niż na codzień do pracy. 3. nigdzie nie jest opisane że do plaży wcale tak blisko nie jest i z powrotem idzie się bardzo stromą górką, do najbliższego sklepu tak samo. 4.
