The Countryside Pai

This is an excellent place to stay if you're looking for somewhere quiet, peaceful and relaxing. It's close enough to the main town that you could walk there, but far enough away that you feel like you're in a more rural area, surrounded by rice fields. The nearby scenery is beautiful, and the little bungalows are really nice inside and out. It was great sitting on the roof after sunset and looking up at the stars. The mattress was lovely and soft, which is quite hard to find in Thailand. For me, this made the bed very comfortable. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They provided complementary tea, coffee, bread, jam, bananas and avocados and fruit. Overall, I really enjoyed my night here and will definitely stay again if I find myself in Pai in the future.

The only thing I'd say is bring an eye cover if you find it difficult to sleep with too much light. The lights outside stayed on all night and the curtains were a bit too thin to block it out well. I slept well though.

Very scenic, facilities were in great condition, air conditioning worked perfectly, and the staff were absolutely lovely. The main town was less than a 10min walk away.
