It’s a bit of a walk up hill from train station; ok for me because I had backpack but might be hard for some; no restaurant on site

The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The rooms were clean.

Nothing really negative, except that the location is uphill from Wengen station. So it is a trek up each time, specially with luggage. However, that might be the case with almost all the cottages there. The views compensate for it, anyway.

The view from the deck was spectacular, the outside area was beautiful, and the shared mini kitchen was helpful.

The bed was VERY hard and the rooms could use an update. The room was tiny.

Fantastic view worth the quirks

Absolutely fabulous view from our balcony. We had breakfast and happy hour there every day. A lovely walk to downtown.

There was a bad, musty smellin our room when we arrived. Fortunately, much of it aired out, but not all of it. There was a bad, musty smelll our room and bath when we arrived. Fortunately, much of it aired out, but not all of it. There was never anyone at reception. The lobby and dining area are dark and lights don’t work. Common areas smell like my grandmother’s house. It is not a bed and breakfast, but you can store food and use the small kitchen, if you don’t mind being in the dark. Quirky mix of 1905 and ‘70s decor.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. The views are worth it! Beautiful property and very old fashioned mountain hotel.

The property has amazing amazing views of the Eiger Monch and Jungfrau peaks. Absolutely incredible on a sunny day. The property to get to is a fun daily hike uphill but the scenic beauty to get to view is totally worth it. We had the edge views of both Wengen and the jungfrau mountains. I would totally do it again!

Wish there were fans at the property so it can white noise any guest or outside noise.

Very comfortable & felt like home

Had to get an extra bed even though we didn’t need it for our small group. Wasn’t an option to do without which meant a heavy up charge. Would have been nice to know

the staff was nice and the view was really good

It was about half a mile straight up and a very difficult climb. Every time we left for the day we had to go downstairs and ask a staff to come lock our door!! It would not lock for us! Every time they came and locked it they said they’ve been having trouble with it—but never had it fixed the whole 5 days they were there! They didn’t offer to change our room until the day before we left. They were supposed to change the towels every 3 days, but didn’t change them until the day before we left.

The hotel is located in a village that cannot be reached by car, and there is no transportation to the heart of the village. Going to the hotel by walking is very exhausting and arduous.

The room I got overlooked a stunning view of the mountains. location was peaceful. the rooms were tidied everyday. Also good value for money given the late timing of my booking.

Hotel is not Well maintained. It is old and rooms are unconfortables : the bed linen isnt of a good quality and the room is badly sound conditioned. In fact, we could hear every other noises : man walking on the floor uptsair, other customers speaking in their own rooms or just taking their showers. It was a nightmare for someone who wants to rest and have calm. Moreover, the clientele is very noisy and speak very loud. It is not helping... To finish : Breakfast is not good.
