Guest Rooms with a great view at Residence Brunner

I am traveling alone for the first time as a woman, and the staff were very kind. The room was very comfortable and cute. I enjoyed this so much. The view was just spectacular and I got to explore so much in this town! I highly recommend residence brunner. They are amazing.

Beautiful view, easy check in & check out. friendly and helpful staff which could be contacted via WhatsApp. Very walkable, would highly recommend the top floor view.

Elevator was startling. Pets allowed and the walls are thin, so could hear barking.

The room was clean, the beds are reasonably comfortable and the view from the room and the outside balcony is wonderful (be sure to get the side facing the Jungfrau). There is also an elevator. The hotel is a bit further from the center of Wengen which we liked, but it is an uphill walk from the train station--our map app also gave us the steepest route (as we later learned). If you have lots of luggage, I'd recommend arranging for a ride--there are various small vans that carry people and luggage around even though it's a car free town.

The Residence Brunner is definitely on the older side and things seem worn; our room had a carpet that was screwed into the floor and the sharp edges of the flathead screws were sticking up a bit making it hazardous to walk barefoot in the room. We didn't cut our feet but came close to doing so. We also thought that the breakfast was not worth the amount they charged for it thought it wasn't terrible (we had to poach our own eggs which was kind of fun). I think you're better off visiting one of the nice bakeries in town or shopping for things at the Coop. There is a common fridge and small kitchen area on the ground floor where you can keep things chilled. And there is a water kettle in the room with tea and instant coffee supplies.

I like the cleanliness of this property and overall experience in the room which has a wonderful view of the mountains and the bathroom was also clean with a tub.

It's up in the mountain so you either pay 20 CFH to the taxi or walk uphill. The neighborhood is all empty and nobody lives in those houses so at night, it feels very scary because no lights on the roads. We stayed their for 02 nights and they don't have anyone on the reception and nobody we met in three days who represented the hotel. Also, it's a wooden house so when you walk, it makes a lot of noise.
