The location was remote but beautiful. The local area was very tranquil and relaxing.
The food at the location was very good, just lacking a little in salad or vegetable options.
Mosquitoes were an issue as you might expect in the hot countryside and perhaps more could be in place to repel the pests whilst eating outside.

Great setting. Beautiful room. Gorgeous decor in central areas.
Restaurant had very few options for vegetarians. In fact this meant we ate elsewhere on the second night as my husband had eaten all the vegetarian options and he didn’t want to repeat the same dinner.

I was a Pilgrim walking to Assisi from Rome. I had an issue whilst on the trail 8km walk from my stay at Borgo Della Marmotta. Another Pilgrim called the receptionist on my behalf to arrange a taxi to pick me up in the small village. The staff sent a staff member instead to pick me up very quickly. I thought I would be too early for my room but that was not the case. Of course I needed to pay for the ride and it was well worth that. The staff were very friendly and helpful and courteous. It was a beautiful room with a bath especially for a Pilgrim with blistered painful feet. The dinner at the nearby restaurant was exceptional quality and a free car ride to that restaurant much appreciated. The breakfast was of a high standard and it too was exceptional with many choices with beautifully baked goods also. I would recommend Borgo Della Marmotta to anyone for these reasons. Thank you making my one night feel like it was days worth with 'nothing being too much trouble' including a lift to the next village. Thank you in particular to Luana. Grazi mille.
