if I may maybe the mattress a bit soft for my taste

Rooms are well preserved as if they were part of the farm houses. AC was very week so it was very warm during our stay in June. Could not open windows because they had no mosquito nets. Furniture OK but table and 2 chairs very flimsy - can disintegrate any moment. But the reception girl Avigayel was superb and very helpful. Gave us some good recommendations.

ate dinner at the restaurant and was owful. Precoocked meals ! Even the desert was nor good. And the bill...was way 106E where we had good dinners at other place for luss. House wine mediocre, main server was not friendly. Sadly, if more attention was made for the room and for the restaurant the place can get much better.

Secluded but still close to many day trip towns such as Assisi and Spoleto. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and beautiful grounds, pool area. Honesty bar and living spaces.

The room and facilities are lovley, and beautifully decorated. The 2 salons with honesty bar are a great touch. The pool was refreshing and pretty. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Good selection for breakfast. Reception staff Abigal, Louella and Franceso were awesome - they were friendly, professional and helpful. I was able to do some laundry (by hand) which was very accomodating and helpful. It is very cool to be staying in a 17th century room and borgo. There is a wonderful restaurant located close by called Albergo Ristorante Le Casaline - eat there!!!!

Our problem was with the restaurant menu selections, and that the restaurants hosts outside events which end up impacting your abililty to enjoy the grounds. Our plan was to used this hotel as hub for visiting small towns in Umbria and then return in the evening to enjoy meals at the restaurant. We've done this at other places and it is our preferred way to travel. The menu was so disappointing with its offerings, which do not change. Guinea Fowl (2 options), Pigeon (1 opt), Rabbit (1 opt), Beef (1 opt). If you are not into game you are out of luck. Pasta selection was just ok and no salads. Restaurant staff were a bit stuffy and overworked. The menu on the website is not current. I've attached the menu. Lunch party events customers take over the grounds for hours. So when you come back after a day of touring and want to sit under the shade of the fig trees or grapevines, you cannot, these spots are all taken by non-guests. The owner of the borgo was quite aloof and did not appear interested in us as guests or our experience; he's not a host.
