Faded glamour style hotel. Beautiful grounds! Lovely old building. I don’t usually book to stay places like this as I feel they’re generally catered to an older age group - a bit ‘old school’. Only stayed for one night but the place grew on me - I felt quite fond of it towards the end.
We didn’t eat there and I’m pleased about that. The restaurants/breakfast room and other certain areas have a corporate, outdated vibe in my opinion.

Impressive building and grounds. Staff were very good. Parking was generally free and available. Pleasant location in good area.
Overall, very nice. The only significant failing was the (modestly-sized) bar closing at midnight, even for residents. So you can't come back from an evening out and get a late drink before going to bed. Aside from that, no complaints.

Very old and warn I have stayed in a lot nicer places for a lot less supposed to have a garden view it was the view of the carpark
