Villa Margherita

The absolute highlight of our stay was the staff. Daniela and Luca treat you like family, and could not possibly do more to help you. For example, they loaned us an umbrella we could take to the beach, and a bottle opener when we needed one. They also gave us advice on how to see a doctor when I got sick during our stay. The experience they gave us will definitely make us repeat guests in the future. The pool is lovely but small, breakfast is very good, and the rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. The beds are also very comfortable. The B&B is very close to the beach, and there’s an excellent supermarket nearby. We had a lovely view of both the pool and the sea from our room. Overall, it’s a very peaceful place to stay in Cefalù.

I wanted this review to be a 10, but there were a couple of minor negatives. The biggest negative is something completely out of the owners’ control, but there is a noise issue at night due to the location. There’s a lido on the beach that plays loud dance music until the early hours of the morning, and because we could hear it from our room it was hard to get to sleep some nights. There were no noise problems within the B&B from other guests though, rooms are well soundproofed in that regard. If you intend to go to Cefalù’s centro storico every day, do be prepared for a lot of walking because the B&B is a 15-20 minute walk away, although the walk is pleasant. Overall the room was quite small for our long stay although it was lovely. The fridge in our room wasn’t great, it didn’t really get our water cold enough, but the staff did offer to put our drinks in the main kitchen fridge for a couple of hours during breakfast which definitely helped. The only other negative is the rooms don’t have a balcony for drying swimsuits. They do have clothes racks downstairs at the back of the building to use, but it’s just a little awkward. None of these minor negatives would prevent me from returning in the future.

Spacious room, super comfortable bed, nice communal terrace with pool and sea views in the shade with nice breeze, great free breakfast and the nicest hostess.

We loved our stay! Danielle and Luca were lovely. Beautiful spread of breakfast. Clean and modern rooms. Close to central Cefalu but nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.
