This is a no frills hotel with a relaxed vibe. The rooms are basic and comfy. Good beds and plenty of hot water. The pool area is good and the animation team provide activities throughout the day, however they do not pester you to join in if you choose not to. The staff are polite. They have happy hour which is a bonus. The beach is very nearby and there are lots of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. There is a super bar just outside the hotel that does lovely free tapas at lunch time with drinks. This is very popular. During our stay, the majority of residents were mature couples which for us was good.

Although clean , the decor is dated and tired. We took breakfast on a couple of mornings but found it quite expensive. You can get a good breakfast nearby for a third of the price. There’s nightly entertainment but it starts at 10 pm. And of course , there’s never enough sunbeds for the amount of guests, sunbed wars at 6am.

Vera Playa is an amazing place with numerous strong reasons to visit. These include: • The beach is fabulous and is where you can enjoy doing nothing all day long; • The non-textile aspect is a true way of life which we enjoy. Vera Playa is where naturalists can lodge safely, not be judged, no sneering or stray comments, everything with total respect and courtesy amongst the hotel guests and the beach folk; and • Warm Mediterranean Seas and fantastic climate during the summer season with extended daylight only enhances the visit.

The hotel has a beautiful pool and poolside environment where friends and strangers can mingle in a non-textile environment in happiness and peace; but that is about as far as complements go. Issues include: • Grumpy reception, dining room and beach security staff, who enjoy abrasive and curt dialogue focused on how much more money they can extract from their visitors despite most paying for an ‘’all-inclusive’’ package; • ‘’Double bed’’ accommodation, which is really two single beds pushed together making the middle join impossible to achieve a peaceful sleep; • Unexpected additional costs not covered in the all-inclusive package. Although minor costs, the ambience the staff present as they request their additional funding is nothing but hostile, so much so we witnessed beach security ejecting hotel guests for unpaid usage of beach deck chairs at 5pm
