Convenient hotel with great breakfast close to the historic centre and the regular train station.

I chose this hotel for the wrong reason because we were travelling by train and I wanted to board the high speed train to Perugia without stress on the evening after the checkout leaving our luggage at the hotel, while we go around exploring. Even though the hotel is just a short walk from the train station it's the regular train station, not the high speed one. But it is just 15 min by taxi from the hotel to the high speed train station AV Mediopadana, so it all turned out for the best. We explored Reggio in the morning (just a short walk to the historic centre, such a lovely town), and settled for a brief train trip (it's only about 20 minutes!) to Modena in the afternoon. Really great and convenient, I just wish we had time to go to Parma (which is also just a short train trip away) as well. Stuff was really nice and accommodating, breakfast truly fantastic (the best Parma ham I ever tasted, glorious Parmesan cheese too), obviously lots of sweet options and fruit as well, and even the local Reggio specialty erbazzone (crisp savoury tart stuffed with greens) available - complimenti!

Complimentary water was much appreciated, but it would be great to have a kettle in the room for comforting hot drinks. Local winter fogs can be quite chilly :)

Everything was more than perfect. The receptionist with eyeglasses is the best I have ever met. Great!

Breakfast was lovely and generous. Coffee was great - the senior male waiter so attentive and sweet. The two young men at the reception were so great, competent, attentive and nice. Made my stay so much the better!

My stay was fabulous and I love the staff

The staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming. They were helpful and treated us with respect and assisted with finding places to tour. The breakfast staff were always clean and smiling.breakfast was a great variety and fresh.

Breakfast they refused to offer fried eggs, they didn't have warm cooked porridge like oats. The bed sheets were frequently changed .

Breakfast had a variety of tasty options and service was great! Location was helpful to get around the city and able to walk to many different places.

Awful hotel. No way could it described as 4 star. Michelin recommendation stickers stopped in 2014.

Could not get into the underground car park without long wait for manger to appear to finally open the barrier. Shabby small rooms with furniture that was chipped and broken. We were allowed to look at 3 other rooms, all were identical and equally shabby. receptionist insisted all room were the same. Finally given a reasonable sized room which was the one pictured on hotels website. It must be reserved for customers who persist in asking for clean room It was less worn, shower had not been used for sometime judging by the limescale of shower floor. Breakfast: on first day, no coffee available, had to ask for some to be made in the kitchen. Was allowed one cup! On second day breakfast buffet choice was limited to a few left over slices of cheese, four left over slices of cold meat and a few burnt pieces of bacon. (Breakfast advertised as being available until 10am, we were there at 9:15am). Lots of stale sugary cake available and variety sugary cereals, which look as if they had been in their display bowl for quite some time. Milk jug was empty, some lactose free milk was still available at back of buffet. About 5 miniscule bread rolls were available, but hard and inedible. The manager finally managed to scramble a few eggs, too late, appetite had gone. Bought breakfast elsewhere outside of hotel. Other guests were also wondering around the buffet desperately trying to find a morsel to eat.

Good transit hotel. Lacks character but very practical.

Typical business hotel on the outskirts of the town. Easy walk into the centre. Clean and efficient. Helpful staff. Ordinary breakfast.

Air conditioning did not really work - fortunately it was not too hot. Pavement outside has glass on it. If you ride your motorcycle onto this someone will come out and shout at you.
