Hotel Tulipan Pruhonice

Great breakfast, friendly staff. The adjoining bar and restaurant is also nice with a great little garden to have a smoke and a beer.

Could do with some modern touches like usb charging points, a kettle in the room to make tea/coffee etc

The check-in was good, quick, and man on desk pleasant and spoke good English. It was ideally located for what we wanted. The breakfast was nice and replenished quickly when items were running out. It was the restaurant adjoining the hotel that was the best part. The food was delicious, and the lady behind the bar was lovely. The towels are nice. The hotel as a whole was clean and tidy.

There was no information given to us when we checked in, other than the breakfast timings. No WiFi etc. The doors are not soundproof, so the dad scaring his kids at 7 am sounded like they were in our room. The pillows were terrible!! There's a lack of plug sockets. We had to take the fridge plug out to put the fan plug in, and the same for the TV. Take it out to put the other fan on. There's no lift. So if you have 2/3/4 cases at 20kilos each and are put in rooms 200+ you have to walk them all the way up the stairs. There was dust on the fans and table and chairs in our room. The bathroom had seen better days. Breakfast was basic. We were told breakfast was 7:30-10 but on the morning we checked out, at 6:30, there was people making coffee. If we had known that we'd have grabbed one before the taxi came.
