I felt very welcome although I just stayed for one silly night

Cozy and friendly

Not possible for me to sleep with open window due to the A5 rush. But the windows where 100% noise canceling

Perfect place to relax and sleep on a long trip back to Italy.

This is one of those hotels in the grand tradition of German hospitality: small, family-run, warm hospitality, professional, courteous, efficient, great value, terrific breakfast and immaculately clean. There were nice little touches that showed a little more care and individual personality: vintage books on the staircase, a handpainted Tyrolean chair in the room, funky vintage tiles in the bathroom. I appreciated the thoughtful bottle (glass, not plastic!) of water in the room. The check-in desk remained open late for me and another set of travelers that arrived even later because of traffic and roadwork problems. And he still greeted me with a smile and condolences for the "bad" German roads! (He should travel to Italy if he thinks the German roads are bad!) Thank you to the owners and staff for creating and maintaining a place like this for the weary traveler!

Friendly staff, good value for money!

Nice location, close to the highway but still in a nice, residential area. 5-10m walk to the 'city center' (some stores and a lovely park) for drinks and necessary groceries. Friendly reception by staff. Restaurant attached with good food.

Decor is a bit outdated - on the other hand, gives you that authentic German feel so I was actually pleased with that. Carpeted floors are not my favourite though.

We liked the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. Bathroom and shower were very clean.

Missed the included breakfast because of a miscommunication of staff. They apologized sincerely though. Also, the couches were old and had a worn out look.

Superb

A warm welcome, friendly staff. A beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean room in a lovely hotel. Great location to explore the town and visit the thermal baths which were perfect for 2 weary cyclists. While we were there the hotel restaurant was open to hotel guests only and the food was excellent- I would definitely recommend dining in. Lovely breakfast.

Very pleasant overnight stay in a lovely family owned hotel.

Owner and his staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was in an ideal location for us to split the journey between the ferry terminal in Ijmuiden and our destination in Tuscany.

Fine, but needs modernization.

The breakfast was excellent as the bread and fruits were really fresh. Also the room was very spacious

The room we got was pretty big, but there was no airconditioning. There were no curtains but there were rolling shutters outside, these could be used from the inside, but were old and got stuck so we had to go outside to pull them down. The restaurant was okay in terms of quality, but was relatively pricey.

Een redelijk hotel voor ėėn nacht, maar ook niet meer.

Het ontbijt was uitstekend en ook de locatie was prima!

Het ontbrak de badkamer aan allerlei essentiële voorzieningen . Teveel om in een paar zinnen weer te geven. Ook waren er verscheidene zaken gewoon kapot. Heb daar de directie over ingelicht. Het ontbreken van een lift vond ik ook een gemis.

Frühstück war gut, Die Lage war auch gut, man konnte leicht zum Bahnhof und in den Ort laufen Uns wurde immer Auskunft gegeben wenn wir Fragen hatten. Betten waren sehr gut, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen Zimmer war sehr schön, von Vorteil war das der Fernseher nicht am Bett stand sondern um die Ecke

Die Unterkunft hat eine Katze, was auch in Ordnung war, nur eines Morgens war sie im Frühstücksraum was uns nicht so gefallen hat. Fahrstuhl hat ein bisschen gefehlt. Im Bad fehlt ein Hocker, wenn man älter ist wäre das von Vorteil Plastikstuhl im Zimmer passt nicht zur Einrichtung

Im Grossen und Ganzen gut!

Äusserst freundliches Personal. Grosses Zimmer mit viel Stauraum. Grosses Bett, angenehm zum Schlafen. Parkplatz vor dem Hause. Sehr gutes Essen und tolles Frühstückbuffet.

Na ja, das Hotel ist halt in die Jahre gekommen und der Unterhalt im Zimmer und im Bad wurde etwas vernachlässigt. Einige Lampen funktionieren nicht, nicht verschlossene Bohrlöcher, alter Duschring in der Badewanne (Vorhang klebt am Körper), vereinzelt Oxidationen an Beschlägen, Zimmereingangstüre schlägt bei jedem Luftzug. TV ohne Schweizer Kanal ☺️.

Durchreise

Perfekter Zwischenstop auf der Reise nach Italien. Nahe an der Autbahn, aber gleichzeitig sehr idyllisch gelegen für einen Spaziergang nach einer langen Autofahrt. Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich, das Personal freundlich. Das Restaurant ist auch zu empfehlen.
