Great location, clean room, everything we needed, comfy bed, free parking over the road

Great location, free parking over the room. Nice room, quite small but we knew this when we booked, everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities. Comfy bed, good hot shower

We were already awake at 8am but there was a lot of banging coming from the property next door as if building work was going on. It stopped after about an hour.

Modest stay in a good location

Cozy mdern decor . Great city center location (don't miss the Monday street market!)

Room 1 is small and the stairs are narrow, steep and uneven. Stuffy. .Minimal breakfast. Check- in is limited: Reception open 5 to 10 Parking in a small public lot.

Nice family run hotel close to the old town.

Very nice owner/patron ! Breakfast was good. Friendly staff for cleaning the room. Old town and harbour only some minutes away by foot.

Room was a bit noisy - traffic and people in the street at night. Windows does not keep the noise out. With ear plugs it was OK and we slept quite well.

Friendly Host, Super Convenient Location

The host was really friendly and helpful, and was a mine of information on Standing Stones. Also on Celtic music.

It's a 2 star hotel. Don't expect 4 star standards and you won't be disappointed.

Reducing costs at the expense of customer satisfaction

Location was perfect, really close to the city center Beds relatively comfortable

Very low value for money (and first time I wwrite a negative review) first cleanliness: we found hair (and other things I wouldn't describe) in the bathroom. Relatively unpleasant odour when we arrived in the room (small was gone after 10m of venting) Second, staff. Nobody at the reception. No safe place to store the luggage, even though we insisted (even in 1* hotel or youth hostel we can do it). "You can store them below the stairs in front of the entrance, but make sure you have nothing valuable in the luggage" Third, breakfast. It will cost you less to buy all what you need for breakfast.

A good hotel in in an excellent location in the charming town of Auray.

The Celtic Hotel has an excellent central location in the main shopping area of Auray and is easy for access. The rooms are very good, recently redecorated, large and well equipped. Metered parking in a public park is available close to the hotel. Good breakfast and very helpful staff/management, .

I don't think the Celtic had any significant disadvantages.

Unfriendly reception upon arrival. Dirty carpet on stairwells. Dreary room with only half a window. Bathroom had been updated some time ago but already in need of a refresh. Shower struggled to perform. Won’t be returning.

Owner was friendly,room was nice. Free parking opposite. It’s very close to lots of towns and lots of things to do in the area

The noise on the street was not acceptable from the bar below, people drinking alcohol from the bar at 7am. Woken up at 2:40am to people shouting outside my window. You cannot sleep with any windows open. For the price of €105 per night I think it’s overpriced

Hôtel bien situé

L'emplacement en centre ville, le parking à proximité. Le calme pendant la nuit (peu de trafic). La literie confortable, la propreté de la chambre, l'amabilité du personnel

Hôtel un peu désuet ne méritant pas ses trois étoiles. Il faut être en forme pour monter l'escalier étroit avec une valise. La salle du petit déjeuner est sinistre. Les chaises sont lourdes à déplacer et font un bruit terrible lorsqu'on les déplace, au moins on est sûrs d'être réveillés ! Quant à la nourriture, le choix est restreint et la qualité très moyenne. Cela dit le personnel est très aimable, ce qui rachète quelque peu les défauts cités plus haut.
