Superb hotel in a central location

We were upgraded to this hotel and were taken aback by the facilities. A spacious and comfortable room, it had a luxurious feel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Secure housing for our bicycles. Superb breakfast.

Lovely modern hotel, well located.

It was a lovely place to spend a few days and everything was top quality.

Sadly the reception staff was a disappointment. Having spent 30 years + being a troubleshooter for hotel groups in the UK and EU the initial interaction with your hosts is frequently the moment that will influence whether you have fond memories or not. The reception team on our arrival weren't bad per se, they were just uninterested, slow to stop their own conversation and begin our own check in process. They gave zero information about the hotel and it's facilities and so we left for our room feeling distinctly underwhelmed. It was a shame because actually the hotel was great. Despite the reception!

Competent receptionp(ist) soothed the way despite irritations but.......

Booking changed - first hotel overbooked. VERY car unfriendly, toilet flush kept running, despite assurance more expensive than original booking. Couldn't adjust 'overheated' room. Advised to open windows! Car park voucher didn't work. Email following.

Clean, new, very modern hotel in Turnhout. Very good location

The reception hours are extremely limited, with rather late check in (after 5pm). On arrival, I was charged by mistake for a future booking at the same hotel (one that I selected as flexible in terms of cancellation policy on purpose). Then, the amount for the current stay was deducted automatically by Booking.com from my credit card. The refund from the hotel for the future stay was not possible, despite repeated attempts on my part and admission of mistake on the part of the hotel staff. The staff didn’t seem to understand the issue and the need to remedy it.

Adequate for a night’s stay

The hotel was close to the town centre and was modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.

We could not turn down the temperature in the room from the setting of 24.5C which was altogether too warm. The buffet breakfast was very poor - there is no restaurant in the hotel so the breakfast is a do-it-yourself affair like a youth hostel. We thought there would be somewhere to leave our bags when we arrived but the hotel is completely closed between lunchtime and 5 pm.

It looks like an old people home. But nice bathrooms. Good location but the staff was not helpful in any way.

Nice location

The staff was incompetent. I was coming with more friends and even that they had more rooms available, they couldn’t rent it because they hotel didn’t want to clean them. You couldn’t get the staff to call a taxi, couldn’t get a number for a taxi and didn’t know if there was taxis service on Sundays. I ask for an extra sheet - they couldn’t find any. We ask borrow an iron - we couldn’t.

Great stay sadly too brief as our ferry was late and we could't spend as much time here as planned.

Location is perfect, close to Turnhout's many excellent bars and restaurants. Staff were extremely helpful and room exceptional. Only gripe was large bed was 2 beds cobbled together with separate duvets. Still great room though.

It is comfortable and cleans, the beds are great, the location is very good.

There is no parking and you have to pay for the public one, meaning an extra payment every time you park again. It would be better if they had some partnership when you pay once for a day and you can drive in and out as many times you want.

We initially booked THIS hotel. We chose the hotel based on certain criteria, one of which was free parking. We were told via booking that we were upgraded to a sister hotel and that there was parking in a public garage with which the hotel had an arrangement. Ok, fine, so we ended up at Cosendonk Turnova, right in the city center. Turns out the arrangement was that we could park there as long as we paid the full fee of 25 euros a day. The room may have been an upgrade; I have no way of knowing, but we were driving, and I don't prefer driving in the center of cities; obviously this one was no exception. The room was fairly small, and you had to walk through the breakfast area to get to it. I would not book here again. I think the original hotel is undergoing renovations but am not sure. In any case it was only one night.

The hotel is very well located. Turnhout is a very nice place for a one day visit. The room was very spacious. The staff was kind, friendly, and smiling.

The bathroom was dirty. There were long black hairs on the floor. The shower floor was black in same parts. The floor of the room was dusty. You could feel the dirt under your feet if you walked barefoot.

Great hotel in a central location in Turnhout. We parked at the other Corsendonk hotel in Turnhout and walked to the Corsendonk Viane hotel location which was convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - great variety.
