Characterful, original hotel with classy, traditional decor; excellent restaurant; lovely friendly staff. Near to lots of beautiful and interesting areas for hiking, and also a couple of other terrific restaurants for Mon and Tues when the hotel’s restaurant is closed (we were v grateful for their recommendations).

Very friendly staff on arrival…lovely young lady…bottle of water in room…nice toiletries….hot water for shower..
Very comfortable bed…nice breakfast with a fairly good choice considering there are not that many rooms…
The only thing which is not a reflection on the room was that being on the elderly side…step from bedroom to bathroom made it a bit difficult for us…but that is our problem nothing to do with the room as it was all very nice.
