Our hosts left eggs, milk, bread , cheese, cakes and other items, all locally produced and all of high quality which made for excellent breakfasts. The Huts were spotlessly clean and well appointed. The view from our Hut was quite beautiful, and the location made an excellent base for exploring the local archaeological sites, the main purpose of our visit. Parking was easy. The location strikes the perfect balance between quiet, and ease of access to main roads. As a birdwatcher, I was particularly pleased with the provision of birdfood with which to fill the feeders. I enjoyed watching the bird visitors and counted 11 species, one of which I had never seen before. There was also a bat which entertained us at dusk. Our hosts could not have been more helpful, friendly and courteous, and our stay was most enjoyable. I would certainly visit again, and recommend the Huts to anyone intending to stay in Northumberland.
The oven instructions proved impossible to master; tv reception is patchy. Neither thing adversely affected our stay. We ate out or cooked simple meals, and we did not arrange our stay to watch television.

Attention to detail is second to none, the hut was spotless and immaculately presented. We could not fault the communication, location and comfort. The baskets of goodies left for us to enjoy were something extra special. A wonderful break. Perfect.

Wir haben uns wie Zuhause gefühlt. Helen ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin. Die Köstlichkeiten in Küche und Kühlschrank waren wundervoll. Die Lage ist gut geeignet, um auf dem Hadrian’s Wall zu wandern. Sehr zu empfehlen!
