The perfect house for a family holiday

Everything in the house worked and was well thought out. The neighbourhood was quiet and yet you could be at 2 safe child friendly beaches within minutes - on foot so no need to worry about parking.

The few number of takeaway and home delivery options. available. Catering for preferences for 3 generations was always going to be tricky. However, we found something for everyone. One small niggle in the house was that the bathroom mirrors were set too high, but that was a minor snag. We had a great time.

Very good

We travelled from Scotland for a Wedding. We had all we needed for the 48 hours, we were staying in the property. We had 2 vehicles so we had to park away from the property for the 2nd Car which was fine. We felt that there was limited Parking in the area, but might not work for everyone. The property had 3 floors and my husband and I were grateful that we could stay on the Ground floor, whereas the Family were able to go to the top of the House.

Perfect for two small families

This was the perfect stay for two small families, with lots of toys & books and very comfy beds for everyone. It's got some stairs but the host offered to fit the existing gates (although we didn't use this feature for our 3 year olds as they're used to stairs). It's got a bathtub for the children's bath and ensuites in the double bedrooms. Kitchen is fully equiped including lots of plastic cups, plates etc for children. At the bottom of the road there's a park with good playground including a flying fox. Parking was easy in the driveway and on the street. Heating and water were very easy to regulate as per instructions.

Excellent family holiday base.

Adam was a great host and we had all the info about check-in etc well in advance. The house is very well equipped, with a nice kitchen, good WiFi and the lounge TV included streaming services! Easy walk to Totland Pier and beach, plus not far from Freshwater for food shops etc. Hope to return soon.

There is only room for one car on the drive, but there was space on the (quiet) road nearby so not really a problem. Otherwise, everything was better than expected.

Overnight Stay

The property is easy to find, not far from a large Co-Op supermarket which is handy. Ideal base to explore the west of the Island, including Compton Bay and the Needles. Adam the owner is great, communicating very promptly and the house is well equipped with toilets and washing facilities, a good size kitchen and nice patio area out the back with a small BBQ (didn't get a chance to try it out unfortunately!). Plenty of board games etc for wet days, a nice touch.

There's not much to dislike about this property, but having one of the bedrooms on the ground floor may not be to everyone's taste.

Exceptional

The freedom to live like at home, cooking our own meals because we have specific dietary needs. Four bedrooms in a house was cheaper than four separate hotel rooms.

Could have done with better lighting for makeup...not a big issue.
