Beautiful views from the room and balcony of the pretty valley. Exactly how it looks on the photos. Amazing listening to the cacophony of bird sounds in the morning. Watched tea pickers cut back the plants in the private plantation directly underneath the house (neighbour's) and watching the mist roll across the hills in the valley. Some restaurants within 5-10 mins walk, Anachal about 20 mins walk away or 60 INR in tuk tuk. Best thing is Thomas and his family who are very attentive to try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Can arrange trips, Kathkali show tickets, taxis etc and every day brought us afternoon tea (even cake or banana fritters depending on what they'd baked that day). Lots of food for breakfast and dinner if choose to eat in. Due to early trips we couldn't eat breakfast each day but it was good value and very tasty when we could. Son Rohn even gave us a lift to the Kathkali show when tuk tuk couldn't arrive in time.
Look forward to returning and guest house will be further improved soon when new rooms upstairs are ready and open, existing rooms going to have bathroom revamps too (including hot water showers which will be nice).
Nothing. We knew there wasn't hot water showers, just Indian showers with hot water tap so not an issue for us. Just letting others know but this will be rectified soon with newly built rooms and refurbished existing rooms.

It’s in a beautiful quiet location with views from the balcony over tea and forest. Thomas and his family were most welcoming. Early morning birdsong is wonderful

The views from the property were lovely- even the bus journey from Aluva was spectacular! The family were very friendly and booked us a day trek in the plantations, and a jeep tour to see the elephants in Anakolam. They cooked us a lovely dinner and breakfast. Would definitely recommend this homestay!
There is not so much to see in the actual town of Munnar so it was nice to be slightly outside where we had a great view.
