Tamaris Beach House

We had a wonderful stay at Tamaris Beach House. The whole set up is fantastic with your own little house a stones throw from the quiet beach/sea. The property is well equipped with all that you need to prepare simple meals plus there’s an adequate size fridge with small freezer compartment. There’s an ample variety of seating from sun loungers and deck chairs to a small table/chair combo for outdoor dining. Upstairs the bedroom is perfectly arranged with a very large comfortable bed, chest of drawers and small hanging area- plus the view from the bedroom is breathtaking, especially at sunset. Jenny and Lorraine were amazing- helpful and informative and so friendly.

The shower is very small with a shower curtain that gets in the way and leaves the bathroom wet. Would have been better designed as a wet room. Plus the coffee machine was very temperamental often not working. Is was looked at but not fixed or replaced. However, these were minor things that did not detract from the overall experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tamaris. The apartment is very nice, clean, well equipped, and literally right on the beach — you just put on your swimsuit, step outside, and go swimming. 😊 There are sunbeds on the terrace directly in front of the sea. As the apartment is on the first floor, the terrace is shared between the three apartments in the building, but this was never a problem for us. We were lucky to have wonderful neighbors during our stay, and either everyone was very quiet or the soundproofing is excellent, because the only thing we could hear was the sea — and it was incredible. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was one of the best parts of staying here. There are a few small shops within a couple of minutes’ walk where you can find everything you need for everyday use, as well as plenty of tavernas nearby. If you want more restaurants, shops, and a livelier atmosphere, you can walk to Roda in around 15–20 minutes. There is also a restaurant right next to the apartment, but despite being so close, we never had any problems with noise. It didn’t disturb us or affect our privacy at all. Compared with some other parts of Corfu, we found the sea and beaches in this area a little less spectacular, but the trade-off is that there are many more places within walking distance to eat, shop, and simply go for an evening walk. And having the sea literally outside your door is difficult to beat. We liked the apartment a lot and had a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Die direkte Lage am Strand ist toll und von der Terrasse aus sieht man jeden Abend den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich zahlreiche Tavernen (alle fußläufig zu erreichen). Das Appartement ist gut ausgestattet und war äußerst sauber, auch Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurden mehrmals gewechselt. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die perfekte Betreuung durch Jenny, die sich um Haus und Garten kümmert und absolut hilfsbereit ist.
