Hostel Siesta & Go Nuevos Ministerios

It’s a small hostel but the private room is nice and everyone thst stayed there while I was there was very quiet and respectful

A basic little hotel - cheap and cheerful. Great location (5 mins to Bernabeu and 2 minutes to Metro). You have to go through the open dorms to access the private rooms. Staff were great.

Pluses: Near Nuevos Ministerios metro station Good bus connections Incredible supermarket inside El Cortes Ingles next door Great restaurants nearby Very friendly and helpful staff Minuses: Room is like a cell. No space for suitcase etc. Extremely thin walls - you hear everything going on. If unlucky noisy people nearby. An armchair and desk placed in hallway next to room so you hear people sitting, chatting, talking on a phone. You can hear people snoring. No changing room at shower - difficult unless you like walking out without clothes on! The hostel is tiny. They need proper instruction on how to find them! Took me almost two hours as there are so many levels around there - none clear on Google maps! Area in front of hostel unpleasant and dirty as it underground so does not feel safe at night. Extremely expensive for what you get but would stay again if can’t find anywhere with a bathroom for the price.

The hostel is great if you need it for a specific reason, like being near metro 8 to airport or near start of Marathon or for office work in the area. Otherwise, there are hostel at comparable price nearer tourist attraction just as accessible by metro.
