Prachtige locatie en super aardige mensen:)

Zwembad was fijn te hebben, maar wat ver weg en best koud! Dat verblijf, een loft, 2 kamers, maar dat je niet makkelijk bij de wc en douche kon komen, dan door de kamer van de ander te moeten. De host snapte dat en gaven ons een extra kamer in ander huisje met eigen douche en wc, dat was geweldig aardig en top, geen extra kosten. Zeer gulle mensen.

The mattress was not so comfortable.

De accommodatie ligt prachtig in een mooie tuin met vele olijfbomen, limoenbomen, cactussen. Mooi hoge kamer, het is niet gehorig en lekker rustig. Het bed was wel erg hard. Ontbijt werd erg goed verzorgd. Vriendelijke dame die het ontbijt verzorgde en vriendelijke eigenaren.

Het nabijgelegen dorpje is niet heel gezellig om te bezoeken. De accommodatie ligt centraal tussen taormina, syracuse en catania, je hebt wel een auto nodig en je bent wel even onderweg. Om de Etna te bezoeken is het een goeie uitvalsbasis. De omgeving is ontzettend vuil, niet iets waar de eigenaren iets aan kunnen doen maar het beïnvloedt wel ietwat de ervaring.

We booked this accommodation based on the many glowing reviews and were really looking forward to a relaxing stay. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by Nisal, who kindly showed us around and remained available via phone throughout our stay if needed. We were a family of five and had booked two rooms — one for two adults and a child, and the other for one adult and a child. However, we were surprised to find the rooms located in entirely separate areas of the property. To move between them, we had to exit one unit, walk about 5 minutes along an unlit countryside road, and enter another complex. Each access point was secured with large, heavy wrought iron gates, and we were given a set of keys to manually open and close each gate every time we left or returned. This setup proved inconvenient, especially at night and with children. The pool area was also located in a separate part of the property and felt quite run down. The mosaic tiles were falling off, the sunbeds were faded and appeared unclean, and the overall space seemed tired. The on-site restaurant was closed during our stay, and for breakfast, we were given vouchers to use at a café in the village — a 6-minute drive away. Our room was comfortable enough, equipped with the basics, including a good AC unit and a decent bed. The bathroom had low water pressure and a broken shower door. My mother’s room, while clean, was tucked away on its own among the trees, very dimly lit, and felt too isolated for comfort — especially considering we had specifically asked for rooms to be next to each other. Overall, the location is very rural and peaceful, but it is essential to have a car. We ended up spending most of our time out during the day and used the accommodation primarily to sleep and shower. While there were some positive aspects, the layout and condition of some facilities didn’t fully meet our expectations.
