Yaliskari Beach

The best view on the island! All rooms look to the sea and the terrace is spectacular. Would visit again!

We did find that some things were not cleaned properly - the toilet had some hairs on it and the dishes were a bit dirty. But it wasn’t a big problem, we just cleaned it up ourselves.

Yaliskari is located on a secluded beach on the western coast of Corfu. One beach, one restaurant and just a handful of rooms. Perfect and beautiful location, excellent beach (part sand part rocky). Such a nice and easy going crew, top notch delicious food. Facilities were clean and more than enough. The most beautiful sunsets ever. It was a bit of a climb between the beach/restaurant and the rooms on the side of the hill (3 minutes steep climbing) but it was so worth while.

The studio had a great view of Yaliskari beach and the beds were comfy. The food in the Taverna was good.

The whole place felt outdated and grubby. The bathroom has seen better days and, yes, we had a great view if we looked directly towards the beach but a horrible view of ladders on the left. There were a lot of things which needed updated, we had a broken clothes rack for drying things at the end of the day with pegs which practically disintegrated in your hands. The bug shield on the door was coming apart. The shower was tiny and had a horrible plastic curtain which was too short so everytime we had a shower the bathroom floor was flooded. There was no toilet roll holder. The handles came off the cupboards in the kitchenette. Yes, the Taverna had good food and was only 250m away but it was 250m down a very steep, windy hill with hardly any lighting. On the night we arrived, we'd been instructed to go to check in at the Taverna, so this hill was not a great welcome. Not only that but the guy who checked us in just wrote my passport details down on a notepad. Quite unprofessional. The wifi barely works, we were only able to get a weak signal sitting on the bug infested balcony. Again, not ideal when the studios are in the middle of nowhere and you need to plan your trips. Additionally, the roads to this place are in such bad condition so make sure you take out full protection for your rental car! People swing round the bends on the wrong side of the road, one part of the road seems to have fallen off the cliff (I know this is not the studio's issue but feel there should be a warning about travelling there). Overall, extremely overpriced, we paid over €700 for a week and honestly we were so unhappy that we left early and stayed somewhere else for the final night. The place needs a major update for that price point.
