About this apartment rental
Quarto Terraço is a cozy double or four-person room on the first floor of our main house, directly above the fireplace room. The room has a double bunk bed, a comfortable seating area and a sofa that converts into a double bed. It is particularly suitable for two couples or, even better, a couple with two children. The highlight is the large sun terrace, partly covered, with wonderful views across the countryside all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. From April to October, breakfast and two BBQ evenings per week are included.
The Space:
The Da Silva Surfcamp is a typical Portuguese country house surrounded by nature, fields and wide-open countryside. Quarto Terraço is located on the first floor of the main house, above the fireplace room. The upper sleeping area has a double mattress, while underneath there is a private WC with sink and a small table that is perfect for playing cards or spending time together. At the front of the room, there is a cozy seating area with a sofa that can be converted into a comfortable double bed. The room can therefore accommodate up to four people and is particularly well suited to families with children. The absolute highlight is the large sun terrace, which is partly covered and offers a fantastic view over the surrounding landscape and the Atlantic Ocean. The terrace can also be reached by an outside staircase from the courtyard, so other guests may occasionally use it during the day. In the evening, we ask everyone to respect the quiet hours. Showers are available in the shared bathroom on the ground floor or in the warm outdoor shower around the corner.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the shared facilities of Da Silva Surfcamp, including the large outdoor areas, swimming pool, communal kitchen, covered outdoor area and bar. The large terrace belongs to the Quarto Terraço but can occasionally also be used by other guests during the day because it has external access from the courtyard. Guests can also take part in surf courses, mountain bike tours and other activities at the camp.
The Neighborhood:
Da Silva Surfcamp is located in a peaceful rural setting on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, surrounded by fields and beautiful countryside. There is very little traffic around the property, and the atmosphere is wonderfully quiet and natural. Twice a day, a shepherd passes by with his flock of sheep, and in the morning you may be woken by the sound of a rooster. Otherwise, you mainly hear birds singing. There are beautiful walking paths through the countryside, and the typical farming village of Zambujeira lies on the other side of the valley. It is a very small and authentic village with little more than a café and a small grocery shop, but it is well worth a visit. Once a year, usually sometime in August, the village celebrates a traditional festival that brings the whole community together. Praia da Areia Branca is a typical Portuguese seaside resort only a few minutes away. The beach is popular with locals, especially during the summer, but there are also quieter coves where you can escape the crowds. The promenade has many small cafés and good restaurants, and the town has a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. Lourinhã, with supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, pharmacies, a health center, post office and bank, is only about 3 km away. Peniche is approximately 15 km north and is one of Portugal’s most famous surf destinations, with legendary waves and beaches such as Supertubos and Lagido.
Getting Around:
The beach can be reached on foot in around 20 minutes. With one of our free Beach Cruisers, the journey takes less than 10 minutes, while it is only about 3 minutes by car. We also offer a shuttle service to Praia da Areia Branca, Peniche and some of the best beaches and surf spots in the area. The express bus between Peniche and Lisbon stops regularly in Praia da Areia Branca. A car is recommended if you want to explore the wider region independently, but you can also get around locally by bicycle or with our shuttle.
Other Things to Note:
Quarto Terraço is ideal for up to four people and particularly suitable for a couple with two children or two couples. Please note that the large terrace has external access from the courtyard, so other guests may occasionally use it for sunbathing during the day. In the evening, we ask everyone to respect the quiet hours. The room has its own WC and sink, while showers are available in the shared bathroom on the ground floor or in the warm outdoor shower nearby. The camp is surrounded by nature, and you should expect the sounds of rural life, including birds, a rooster and occasionally sheep passing by. From April to October, breakfast and two BBQ evenings per week are included.
Interaction with Guests:
We are happy to help with recommendations for beaches, surf spots, restaurants, activities and places worth visiting in the area. Da Silva Surfcamp has a relaxed, open and family-friendly atmosphere where guests quickly feel at home. Our bar, BBQ evenings and shared areas are great places to meet other travelers. At the same time, there is plenty of space and nature around the camp if you simply want to relax and switch off from everyday life.
