Renovated miners cottage in very beautiful rain forest setting, bird life, sea sounds, absolutely aesthetic and unique. Everything you need for a special chilled out holiday away from the crowd.
Property sleeps 4 adults. Two bedrooms with queen size beds. All linen and towels provided. Bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Home has reverse cycle air conditioner, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Beautiful bathroom and outdoor hot shower. Washing machine and dryer. Gas BBQ and large outdoor setting. Cozy verandah to enjoy the view. Private garden and house directly beside creek and rainforest backdrop which we own. The home provides comfortable living /dining room with views of the surrounding rainforest.
NBN and smart tv, catch up free to air tv, Netflix and WIFI. No free to air TV reception. DVDS CD player (BYO music). Iphone dock to play your own music.
Due to the escarpment we are in a bit of a black spot. Mobile reception is best outside Optus reception is fine. Telstra for some weird reason is very patchy.
Strictly minimum 2 night stay only. We cannot do one night bookings. During the Easter period we have a minimum 3 night stay and Xmas to just after New Year a min of 5 nights.
Close to train to Sydney, about 8 mins walk up a hill.
Although tucked away in a rainforest it's only 3 mins drive or a 3/4 km walk down the hill to beach and very cool village cafes.
Young children and pets are not recommended due to the challenges of the rainforest and creek.
No-smoking indoors.

Coledale is a rare unspoiled piece of paradise, set between the dramatic, dreamy escarpment and lots of little beaches. It has a laid back village atmosphere, with a patrolled beach, surfers beach, sea pool, rock pools, bush walks, 2 cafes, and a great video shop.
The very popular Coledale Markets is held on the 4th Sunday of each month at the local primary school. Just a few minutes drive 'south' to Austinmer and Thirroul, you will find more beaches, a Bi Lo, good fruit and veg, Thai food, homewares, and more cafes. A few minutes drive 'north', you can lunch at the "Scarborough Pub", head for Hangglide OZ at Bald Hill Stanwell Park, or picnic in the Royal National Park."
Coledale is about an hours drive south of Sydney and a 20 minutes drive to the city of Wollongong.

Cozy cottage with everything you need. Home had all kitchen utensils and cooking equipment - fully self catering. Great communicators. Beautiful setting and awesome fireplace - we enjoyed our stay. The area is breathtaking. Thank you.

The property comes with a beautiful feeling of calm and privacy, being surrounded by a stunning layer of bushland. That said, it's within walking distance to the beach, hospitality and train station and a short drive to the surrounding townships.Thanks for our stay- it was exactly what we were after.
