    Great resort with friendly and helpful staff. Food options were excellent with good balance of local dishes. I would definitely recommend for parents traveling with young children.

    We had a fabulous stay at Sugar bay! It was our first time travelling with our 8 month old baby, and the hotel was above and beyond our expectations. I was apprehensive about an 'All-inclusive' so went in with medium expectations, we usually like to go out for food, however, I not once thought to leave throughout my stay. The staff really do make this hotel, they made our stay so pleasent and the service was like staying in a 5*. It relaxed us from the anxiety of travelling with a baby, and they all interacted with waves and smiles and my daughter Loved it! Some of our baby equipment failed on us, and the front desk very quickly lent us a microwave and bottle sterliser. I asked for the sake of whats to lose, and I wasn't expecting anything. The iceing on the cake would be to return here when the sunset is over the ocean (personal preference) this is a mother nature timing thing. I would happily return here at the right time of the year for this! Deluxe Oceanfront room was worth the money! Extra space and the clear views of the ocean made our stay more enjoyable and chilled, when baby needed to naps in the aircon. So we didn't feel we where missing out on the holiday experience. We stayed in room 327 which was near a lift, handy with a travel pram getting around, and was literally a 5 mins from Reef buffet area. We didn't think we would enjoy it this much with our baby, it genuinely felt like we where on holiday and not just doing the parenting. Once again all the staff really do make hotel, I can't single anyone out. P.s. we have high food standards especially when on holiday, when people write reviews about the food and lack of options, they must be the problem and need to expand on their pallets with an open mind! If you Only want home food on holiday then stay at home! We never went hungry. I was to nitpick - 2 nights a week the hotel have outside singers / DJ set, they need to be Very mindful to remember they aren't performing in a stadium (volume control). My ears where ringing while trying to enjoy my dinner. Hotel management shouldn't wait for guest to complain. Fortunately the racket finishes at 10PM. The music and entertainment on all other nights was enjoyable.

    Stayed 2 nights here. Had to move from first room due to building noise, second room was so damp smelling. There was black mould in bathroom and around a/c unit. The aircon was leaking, the wall was wet and so was the floor. Didnt bother asking to move again was too much hassle for 1 night, however the staff were very nice. The drinks - all watered down, even the milkshakes were mainly just blended ice. The food was more 3 star. The island offers much better food and its really a waste to stay stuck in an all incl resort when the island and local people offer so much more. the pools are small, i could never get a sunbed at the ‘main pool’ a lot were reserved with towels all day and not used. Another note - the hotel employs a lot of young male staff and travelling alone as a female, i was sick to death of being pestered by them - asking if i have a boyfriend, can they have my phone number etc. made me feel very uncomfortable and was annoying. 10th time to the island and wouldnt choose to stay here again
