Minamiboso Asian Garden Villa Shirahama

Very spacious suite with separate kitchen/dining area with large table and large bedroom. Quiet location surrounded by fields. Friendly and helpful owner with a cute dog. We really enjoyed this place.

Great food, nice owners, huge room, eclectic in the best way possible, loved it. And so did my 5year old.

The property is conveniently located just off the main road, yet tucked away amidst beautiful, scenic farmland. The host was exceptionally helpful, assisting me with my heavy diving luggage up to the third floor. The room was highly spacious offering far more room than a single traveler requires and the property provides convenient free parking. There is also an on-site restaurant available for guests who wish to dine at the property, though I did not experience it myself.

The eclectic decor was highly unusual and unsettling, featuring odd paintings with entirely black eyes and explicit adult themes (an orgy painting) that did not suit my taste. Additionally, the bathroom windows lacked sufficient coverage, creating a severe privacy concern, particularly at night. Guests with heavy bags should note there is no elevator access to the third floor, and the beautiful garden seating area was closed during my stay. Lastly, my diving fins broke during the trip, and the host charged an extra fee to dispose of them, which felt unaccommodating.
