City House Family Hotel & Restaurant

Excellent staff, large clean room, restaurant & quiet location.

Only stayed one night.

The hotel is very clean, easy to reach from Ruse train station, and conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre. The receptionist was very kind and helpful and gave us some useful advice during our stay.

The only suggestion we would make is to consider offering a taxi booking service or some kind of assistance with transportation, especially for guests travelling with luggage who need to reach the train station very early in the morning. Unfortunately, taxi apps in Ruse do not seem to work as reliably as they do in cities such as Sofia or Plovdiv, and if you do not speak Bulgarian, booking a taxi by phone can be quite difficult. Apart from this, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.

1. The hotel looks like a historical architectural monument. 2. Nothing I needed was missing—maybe just a hairdryer, but I had brought one with me anyway. 3. Breakfast, though not spectacular, was included. 4. The price was great considering these conditions.

The location, although quite good, isn't exactly in the center, but the price was also lower to reflect that

Breakfast was very important for me because I did not plan to waste a time in the morning. I got their offer for 40 eur per room per night with breakfast included. At the reception staff told me that they will not offer the breakfast tomorrow and will refund me 2,5 euro. I was very disappointed with it. It looked like fishing. They caught me on special offer and canceled it.

Other point was ranking of the hotel. I expected to see 8+ hotel but in fact it was average (not poor) 6.0-6.5. Poor room. No heating (only air condition). No shower box (just shower in the toilet).
