Aaboulevard Apartment

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the centre of Copenhagen and also easy to get to from the airport. It was useful to have a supermarket a few minutes walk away and also restaurants nearby. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with a lot of communal space, and had everything we needed.

Location of the apartment was good and made it very convenient for us to explore Copenhagen. It was close to public transport, shops, supermarket and cafes.

Sadly the apartment did not meet standard cleanliness expectations. The concern was not with the floors but rather with general dusting and cleaning of furniture, fixtures, and less visible areas. There was a noticeable build-up of dust, cobwebs, and visible black mold in the bathroom, indicating that a thorough deep clean had likely not been performed recently. Additionally, the apartment had a musty odor throughout which added to the concerns about overall hygiene. The presence of black mold and significant dust is also a potential health concern, particularly as we were traveling with a cancer patient for whom air quality and hygiene are important considerations. Several areas appeared to require maintenance incl. disconnected or dusty bathroom vents, broken furniture such as the wardrobe, and shower rails in both bathrooms that could not hold the showerhead. One bed was not made on arrival, although linen was provided, and basic amenities were limited. There was no shower gel available and only a very small amount of soap. As guests are instructed to remove all belongings and rubbish upon departure, there was no option to leave such items behind for the next guest either. The check-in process also required the use of an app, with access details provided only at the time of arrival. For guests without continuous internet access, this created some delays and additional stress when trying to enter the property. Lastly, there was significant construction noise during our stay. While this is outside the host’s control, advance notice would have been useful for planning purposes. Based on our experience, I would not choose to stay here again. This was particularly disappointing given the building’s heritage and the convenient location.

Wi-Fi never worked for 4 days. Therefore NO television. Owner did not get internet provider to come and fix it.

The location was excellent - very close to the Metro station, so easy to get around and get to it from the airport. The beds were very comfortable, we were all very happy with the rooms. The kitchen was well set up with coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and the apartment was very large, with high ceilings and lots of common spaces. The host was fantastic, very responsive and helpful - and even let us stay late on the final day!

Everything was great. The apartment building is old, which gives it a lot of charm and space, which we liked, but if you are the type of travellers that prefer modern spaces with newer fittings, just know that this is a beautiful example of an older building and apartment.

The location of the property is great and close to public transportation. The apartment is quite large and good value. The host was also very quick at responding to my messages and was as helpful as they could be.

One of the toilets didn't work and there were not enough towels for us to use. We tried finding extra towels and there were none. There was also quite a bit of dust and even some mold in the bathroom.

The apartment is spacious and nicely furnished . It is old worldly but tasteful. The kitchen is modern , large & well fitted out. the two bathrooms are handy. My bed was comfortable . If you walk out the front door and turn left you can walk to the main Copenhagen shopping precinct/Tivoli Gardens in under 20 minutes. If you instead turn right there are a number of cafes/restaurants and Coops (supermarkets) within 5 - 10 minutes. Speakingh of which Copenhagen is a very bike-centric city & there is a major bike path out front. Very handy if you intend travelling around by bike. But you need to keep your wits about you as a pedestrian (if you're not used to such a set-up)

The apartment is on the third floor & there isn't a lift . If you have mobility or fitness issues , then this isn't the apartment for you ( particularly with luggage) . The TV doesn't have an antenna connection so we couldn't get Free to Air /Local TV. But it is a smart tv & we were easily able to connect to streaming services. The wi-fi worked well.

It's a lovely, very spacious and well equipped apartment in an 1890s apartment block. Very well located for .the metro so it's great for getting around Copenhagen. A very helpful owner, who is very quick to respond to questions.

It's all good- but be aware that it's on the third floor with no lift.
