Discovery Apartment Estrela

Our apartment was in a very quiet neighbourhood . The property was clean and felt safe. We just booked an Uber whenever we wanted to go out. It was also walking distance from the Time Out market ( 20 minutes pleasant walk). There’s a supermarket 5 minutes walk away too. The check-in and checkout went smoothly. Paula was very helpful.

The shower head was a little bit too low. So we had to crouch down or take it off the wall and hold it in one hand whilst showering.

I liked the location. It was in a residential area so you got a real experience of Portugal. Safe friendly neighborhood.

Two bathrooms a real bonus

Good location, slightly off the beaten track and away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Right next to a beautiful basilica and park. Nicely decorated flat. Clean.

The host refused to store our luggage after check-out. I understand that this is not a hotel, but the possibility of storing suitcases (if the return flight is in the evening) is always a nice gesture. There is misleading information about this on the property's profile - the answer to a question from another guest who was offered this option. I read this before my holiday and it was one of the main reasons for choosing this particular flat. If this option is no longer available, it should be removed

The communication with Paula was great, and she helped with everything. The neighborhood was nice, not touristic at all. Very few stores and restaurants spoke any language other than Portughese. Great for a more real experience, made us feel like locals. Safe area, convenience stores steps away. Available parking on the street.

The room was really small, the mattress really old with springs almost popping out, and the bathroom had a not so great scent, due probably to the older pipes. The place needs a make over. it felt more like a tiny hotel room, not an apartment at all.
