Everything about the cottage was great, was clean when we arrived, everything there ready to use if needed and super suitable for kids as was plenty of things to entertain them and that wasn't including seeing the cows

It was on a beautiful backdrop and the lady was very helpful on day one with directions.
It was in the middle of nowhere but that isn’t the fault of the property. It was difficult to get to.

It was comfortable and warm. Very quiet for a working farm. Lynda was extremely welcoming and helpful - suggesting dinner options and giving directions.
No soap was provided in the bathroom. The floors upstairs are very creaky if you’re up in the night!

So cute and traditional setting. Lovely farmer and his wide made our stay enjoyable
It was hot and a few flies so fly spray and more fans would of been useful

The view from the iHut was superb, especially as the weather was so good.
What we didn’t like cannot be altered as we chose to visit a working farm, so our early morning alarm from the milking parlour should have been expected! Linda did warn us about the noise that might disturb us. Therefore we have no reason to object !

Wonderful property set in the heart of Devon and on a working farm do lots to see for the youngster who would go and say good morning and good night to the calf’s.
Kitchen had everything you needed for longer stays and lots of space for a large multi generational vacation.

From the moment we arrived, Linda made us feel right at home. She’s such a lovely and helpful lady, always happy to assist with anything we needed. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we could have asked for. The setting was so peaceful, a perfect spot to unwind.
We enjoyed seeing the farm animals and loved the quiet surroundings — a real treat away from busy life! We’re already planning to come back and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Thank you, Linda, for being such a wonderful host!

We were given a lovely welcome by Linda and her family, they really encourage you to see the working farm. Our little boy loved seeing the cows being milked and petting the calves. And the chickens walking around! The play area and pond were lovely additions meaning there's plenty to do on site. The room was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and be comfortable. We'll definitely be back again. We stayed at the haven. We will definitely be trying the breakfast next time and maybe a different cottage as we stayed in the apartment with a little one so all in one room, so will try having him in his own room so we can have an evening. The pics on booking.com don't do it justice, the kitchen was fantastic. Really spacious with so many appliances even a bread maker.
Satnav took us off the a30 early, that wasn't the property's fault that we went a back way, haha. We loved it. There was some light coming through the blinds in the night from the main path but when I mentioned it the next morning, Linda was lovely and told us she could turn it off. That's not a negative at all, just want to show she's incredibly helpful as a host, even offered us a cuppa on arrival. Lovely family.

The remoteness of the property along with the views were incredible, very comfy and homey and will definitely be coming back here at some point this year!
The shower was playing around a making the boiler turn off so the shower became cold took us a little while to find a work around

Great for my stop over whilst visiting friends locally. Stunning views, well appointed property and friendly welcome.
Slightly more detailed instructions on finding property especially in the dark.

Lovely rural location, quiet and beautiful views. Cottages were well appointed, clean and comfortable. Linda is a great host.
Not really a ‘didn’t like’, but a recommendation that there is more lighting installed around the i-hut and also on the track down to the Retreat. Because we travelled with family we were walking between the properties where others in our group were staying and we would’ve brought some torches if we’d known. The decking was also slippy outside the retreat and I-hut.

The property was a really nice touch to the countryside… doesn’t feel like a farm… so peaceful and lots of space? Nice place for a family break and lots to do around the area.
Staff and everyone at the farm were so helpful and kind.
Internet service didn’t get much reception, which was also a good point to get us all off our phones.
Everything was great.

Nice and quiet, interesting watching the cows being milked and the calf's fed.
Liked the style of the cottages, pretty and inkeeping with the farm surroundings.
Very comfortable beds!
Flies got a bit annoying, but then we were on a dairy farm!
Would have been useful to have had a few more plates, bowls and cutlery in the room.

The place was lovely & Linda was friendly & welcoming. Price was amazing. Had everything you needed.
It said it was a 1 bedroom but really it was a studio with dbl bed & sofabed. Also was no pets allowed which is why we chose it ( Grandson petrified) there were at least 8 dogs there. Couple ran in our cottage. Had to keep closing door. Tried to fish on the lake but dog kept barking at ducks/fish so scared grandkids. Also Dog poo everywhere. If you love dogs then place is amazing

The bed was nice and comfy. Breakfast was nice Our hosts were very friendly. The farm cat just let herself in for a nap on the bed which was pretty funny 🤣
The toilet was pretty much a hot box.
