A real gem with wonderfull view

This accomodation has a very nice balcony view directly to the sea which was something we were looking for and it was the best atribute. It has a nice kitchen with everything you need to stay and prepare meals yourself, coffee machine, toaster, oven. The hosts were very polite people always with a smile and very helpfull with everything. The room was very clean and they were cleaning it every day which was very nice. I will definitely recommend it. We had a wonderfull time there.

Clean and comfortable, lovely staff, better WiFi would be great.

Breakfast not included but available at Cactus cafe close by. Easy walk to village centre. Good view from our room. Cleaners did a brilliant job. Friendly staff. Good A/C in the bedroom.

The waffle maker had no instructions, and a toaster would have been preferable. A tea towel to dry and polish cups and glasses etc was not available. Cutlery was meagre. WiFi was weak and only available in the living space, it 'fell off' in the bedroom.

Fabulous

The location was excellent.Views were gorgeous and as well as lovely private terraces there was also a roof top with fantastic views..The rooms were immaculate,daily cleaning and linen changes.The staff were really kind and helpful.Would certainly recommend this property.The

Lovely accommodation but a little far from the beach

Very clean, daily housekeeping, friendly staff, comfortable bed, no cost for aircon or safe

Space in living area very small, there was only a tiny gap between the settee & the cooker to get through into living space so we kept banging into them when trying to get through, air con only in bedroom, inside of wardrobe was not clean, no fresh towels on last day, unable to get clean sheet when coffee spilt as no staff on reception late at night, cleaner did not leave items where they were, had to keep looking for them again each day, was a distance from the beach and out of Kalyves bay beach although there were amenities around.

Too many little things (e.g. broken lamp, shower holder) were broken in the room. We didn’t report about those due to short visit. But in the end it’s the small things which matter and annoys you.

Great water views

Nice water views. Separate bedroom. Clean. Good wifi. Kitchenette with oven plus utensils. Good size, nice homely feel. Across the road from the water and a short walk to a swimming area. Selection of shops about1km away.

Air con didn’t seem to warm the rooms very much…ok but not great. Shower water only warm in the morning.

Perfect in the summer but too cool in November

The apartment had a nice bedroom with balcony and a smaller kitchen and living room. It was well equipped. Parking was right outside and it is a short walk to the centre of the village and even closer to the beach which is just across the road.

We were there in November and the unit faced north with a hill behind and thus we did not get any sun on the unit and it was cold. Unfortunately, the combined AC/heater was not adequate to heat up the apartment to a desirable temperature. I expect the location is perfect in the summer as lots of shade but not ideal for the low season.

Superb

A peaceful spot with sea views in Kalyves. We chose to stay here rather than Chania, and it was a nice little town with good beaches and great food options.

My only complaint is that public transport in Kalyves was hopeless. The bus stop for Heraklion and Chania is over 1km out of town. We did that once and that was enough. Then caught taxis.

The best thing about the accommodation was the location at the edge of the town with a fabulous view over Souda Bay. It was also only a five minute walk to the beach and a short stroll into town along the coastal road. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

Gute Lage, freundliche Vermieter, schönes Apartment...

Gute Lage, 200m zum Sandstrand, Restaurants gleich nebenan, großer Supermarkt ca. 400m entfernt. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter in dem familiären Haus. Sehr sauberes Apartment, schön, zweckmäßig eingerichtet, mit guten Matratzen. Bei der Ankunft hatten wir auch eine Flasche Wasser im Kühlschrank. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen.

Das einzige, das störend war, ist der Verkehr, da das Haus an der Hauptstrasse liegt. Konnten aber trotzdem gut schlafen.

Trop bruyant par la présence de la route

La propreté.

Dommage il y a un vaste balcon , mais pas trop utilisable car pas d'ombre , le petit déjeuner est en plein soleil pas de parasol , et surtout la route juste en dessous qui crée beaucoup de bruit car beaucoup de passages. La salle de bains est toute petite . Le lit d'appoint juste pour un enfant , dans la cuisine , est difficilement utilisable , car à cause du bruit vous ne pouvez pas ouvrir la porte fenêtre, et la climatisation étant dans la chambre , il ne faut pas fermer la porte donc pas d'intimité. Il s'agit d'un appartement juste pour un couple. Nous n'avons eu aucun contact avec personne sauf lors de notre arrivée pour nous demander une copie de notre pièce d'identité.dommage.
