Agriturismo Antichi Granai

It is located in a remote area with a relaxing drive up through winding hilly roads (but drive carefully). On arrival you are met with a quality property, ample parking (on their own grounds), beautiful landscaping, and a view so beautiful it cannot be described. It touches the soul. Don't go to party or take noisy kids- the area and everything there is about serenity. Dinner menu has a good choice, and the continental breakfast spread much better than the average provided elsewhere. Have a glass of wine with dinner, and drink the morning coffee. All good!

There was nothing to dislike.

It's not the easiest place to drive to, but once you get there the extensive vista before you is really gorgeous and well worth the effort; a valley of vineyards and other crops and wildflowers spread out before you backed by mountains. The property itself is characterful and beautifully landscaped and there is a generous pool that shares that view. The manager was very nice and very efficient. The rooms are not large, but not small, and they are clean and comfortable. We ate dinner there both nights, and the food was good as well as unbeatably convenient. Wines made on the premise went well with the food (and we are wine snobs) at a value price, The Grillo (white) is particularly good.

The views were simply incredible- so serene. Comfy if simple room. Very quiet. Great dinner and the owners wine was really good.

Dining room is cavernous and could be made so much more welcoming. The owners wine should make more of the fact he is growing/making his own produce. It has tremendous potential.

Very friendly staff, who even found a football for our children to play with in the courtyard. Great breakfast with a good mix of savoury and sweet (very tasty strawberries). Dinner menu didn't have a huge range of dishes but everything we had was delicious. Fantastic view from our balcony. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

The road to the hotel isn't great, but no worse than many small roads on Sicily - and better than many too! Wi-fi was available but a bit slow when all rooms were full.
