Old town Altea property!!

The hostal was around the bend from Altea's glorious Old Town, quaint and beautiful. Our room was spotless with a large bathroom and the balcony had a view of Altea's majestic church. Sufficient quarters! Altea Old Town on the hill provides fantasic views of the Mediteranean sea and coast. There are a lot of delicious restaurants. The promenade isn't far to drive to (park in a garage) to enjoy the cafes and gorgeous panorama of the water.

The parking could have been closer, we found a street space one night and a lot with limited availability another night. My husband wasn't particularly partial to a hostal, however, I felt it was fine!!!

Brilliant location 2 minutes from old town Altea square/cupola & little supermarket . View from balcony of mountain & a little patch of ocean. Peacefully slept with doors open to the skies. No air conditioning needed - lovely fresh air 😊

Overall it was a good choice as location was most important for us.

The location was amazing! Just at the start of the cute old town with shops and restaurants. Free parking nearby as well! Staff was lovely, the room had a cute little balcony :)

The room was a little too basic, small and not enough storage or space for our luggage and stuff. Only 2 electric plugs in a room for 4 people, it was tricky to charge our phones and devices.

Comfortable beds, cute balcony, lovely terrace upstairs with a beautiful view. Good price for value.

Not comfortable pillows. A leaking noise came from the toilet, which was a bit annoying at night. On the booking.com page it says, there was breakfast included for 6.5euros. But apparently, the restaurant doesn´t belong to the hotel, it is a separate installation. The breakfast was very nice and we paid approximately 10 euros each.

Exceptional

Perfect position at the top of the old town. Plenty free parking just a couple of hundred metres away. Vey clean, spacious though basic room at a very good price. Very nice cafe bar. All staff very friendly, especially Sergio in the cafe bar. We will return.

Short break away

The room was lovely, the walk in shower was excellent and the beds were really comfortable.

There was nothing to dislike but as the rooms were suites we were a bit dissapointed there was no mirror only the bathroom one over the sink. The chairs on the balcony were uncomfortable to sit on for long. Just small criticisms. We have been many times to the hostel and will definitely return

SCAM , Room is not available but the use your creditcard to steal your money

SCAM. The room was booked and confirmed but arriving the told me its not available. They send me away but they charge my creditcard. Dont trust them!!! Total fraud

I was charged twice and can't get the money back

good location. other good qualities are blurred by the negative financial experience

By mistake I made 2 reservations for the same room for the same date. I've noticed within dates allowing free cancelation and I canceled one of the reservations but I was still charged for both. I didn't check my bank account during my trip so I didn't bring up the issue to the stuff during our stay there. Now, 1,5 month later, after few messages and emails and a phone call to booking.com helpdesk I still didn't get my money back. Nor any response. Hence I'm angry and don't recommend this place

I loved my stay at Fornet

I loved the hostel Fornet. Everyone was friendly. The location was perfect. It's near to all the restaurants and the shops. We also ate one night in the restaurant of the hostel. It was delicious and not expensive at all. It was also super clean. The view is beyond beautiful. I can't wait to go back again. I already miss it so much 😭💖💙. Thank you, gracias por todo.

The only thing which I didn't like that much is that you had to walk up and down to the beach. One night there were some people outside making noise but for the rest you can sleep very well. It's very quiet.

Basic but very comfortable and very well kept and had everything we needed - balcony, decent shower, air-con, reasonably well soundproofed, comfy bed (though a bit squeaky).

All good, except maybe to have some dimmer lighting in addition to what was there as well as more plug sockets for charging phones.

perfect location to be able to walk to town and beach. such friendly staff especially the bar/restaurant.
