A wonderful villa set amongst rugged coastal beauty on the edge of a Corfian former fishing village.

A lovely traditional home (early 1960s) in a wonderful, peaceful setting with marvellous views across the Ionian Sea and islands towards the coastal mountains of Albania. With plenty of space for we four adults (it can accommodate up to 8 people, 7 ‘grown ups’), this is an interesting property and seemingly built for leisure. It is a short picturesque coastal walk on a quiet road into the pleasant village of Agios Stefanos Girou which amongst its attractions has a few small well stocked stores for provisions and a plentiful selection of cafes and restaurants. Agios has a clean hard (still soft feel) sandy beach with a gentle slope into and within the sea. Crystal clear, deeper waters are a short drive away in either direction. The property is a great base simply to relax within, or from which to explore this beautiful North West area of Corfu. It’s very hilly, nothing like as much as the Corfian North Eastern hinterland, and most roads are narrow. The local drivers are pretty patient with we visitors (thank you), if occasionally for us British a touch bonkers. Many had a preference for ‘middling the road’ when heading towards us. Best we found to slow down in good time and give way; it’s a holiday after all. Commendably, the host of Villa Quietude is very helpful indeed and also has many an interesting Corfian and family tale to tell. We loved the house, the local area and genuine warmth of the people we met. We stayed at the villa from the 18th to the 25th of September 2022 so the pool was cooler than in high summer. It’s worth getting in of course. Great fun. Simple pleasures. What a joy it all was. Darn, I wish I had not told you: Now everyone will know and we may never get back once more. Such bliss by the sea.

Having to leave at the end of our holiday. Oh…..and being rightly admonished by the hire car proprietor in Kerkyra (Corfu) town for innocently asking for the maximum speed limit on Corfu. We can assure you, no need to enquire; you will never reach it at least in North Corfu, thankfully.

Great spot, beautiful location, big pool, friendly host available to help whenever we had a question, lush garden, spectacular views, spacious rooms, all equipment working. You cant ask for more!

Perfect stay with a big family.

The host is wonderful and the view is exceptional. A lot of space inside and outside. Perfect with children and a big family. The pool is very clean. It has two bathrooms so no traffic jams in rush hours :D

Private Serenity

Beautiful 1960’s built stone home, great entertaining space, pool with a view of the bay, breakfasts on the veranda over the glass like sea below, wonderful. Furnished still in its 60’s era retains character, expect swish and swagger curtains with tie backs, but it omits charm.

Access not great for the elderly, lots of steps and no handrails.

Very beautiful house with perfect sea and sunset view. For us (4 adults two children) was big enough, clean and well equiped. The sandy beach is very close, not croweded perfect with children.
